Rugged Road is an Atlanta-based small business founded by Spencer in 2016. The journey began in a high school chemistry class after encountering a military-grade, blast-proof material. That demostration sparked an idea that would grow into something much larger in just a few short years. As an outdoorsman himself,Spencer recognized a gap in the cooler market and set out to build what would become the industry's first ultralight, high-performance cooler. Over time,  our coolers have evolved in both design and functionality, but one thing remained the same: a commitment to innovation.
