Easily install the combination detector using the quick connect plug. Plus, interconnect compatible alarms to create a whole home alarm system to help provide an early warning. The detector is also equipped with First Alert's Precision Detection advanced sensing technology and meets new industry standards. If smoke or carbon monoxide is detected, the combination detector will sound and a friendly voice will tell you the type and location of danger in your home. Easy to program and operate, the combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm allows you to choose between 11 pre-programmed home locations. Install as a standalone combination alarm or interconnect multiple detectors together to create an alarm system throughout your home. When one hardwired interconnected alarm sounds, all connected detectors will sound to help provide an early warning. Integrate with up to 12 other First Alert or BRK detectors and 6 other compatible devices. Please reference user's manual for compatible alarms. If the alarm system sounds, the latching alarm indicator will visually identify the unit that initiated the alarm. Ensure the Interconnected Hardwired Smoke and CO Alarm is working properly using the single test/silence button located on the front of the alarm. The detectors batteries should be replaced regularly and alarms themselves should be replaced at least every 10 years.
