RectorSeal No. 5 Pipe Thread Sealant, a soft-set, slow drying compound that seals, lubricates, and protects threaded pipe and fittings. It is CSA-Certified, NSF/ANSI 61-G/372 Specified, IAPMO 1282 Listed, UL/ULC Listed, and UPC File No. 1282 Certified. This yellow paste has a viscosity of 40,000 cPs, a flash point of 150 degrees Fahrenheit, a boiling point of 322 degrees Fahrenheit, a flammability rating of 2, and a temperature rating of -40 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Applicable to aluminum, brass, copper, and galvanized steel, it can be pressurized immediately for piping up through 2 In. and 100 PSI (for natural gas, air, and water only). Recommended for use on threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, fiberglass reinforced, and PVC pipe.
