Insert fittings are used with PE (polyethylene) pipe in buried cold water applications only, such as irrigation, residential lawn sprinkler systems, water service pipe and swimming pool installations. Meets ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) D2609 and is NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) listed. Insert fittings join to PE pipe with stainless steel clamps.
