Product overview
The 1/2-In. dual check valve backflow preventer with atmospheric vent helps protect potable water supplies by preventing the reverse flow of hot or cold polluted water. Designed for continuous-pressure, non-health hazard applications, it is ideal for boiler feed lines, laboratory equipment, processing tanks, sterilizers, dairy equipment, and other small supply line installations. The durable forged brass body features stainless steel internal components, an integral strainer, and two tight-sealing rubber check valves for reliable performance. Its compact design allows for flexible horizontal or vertical installation.
- 1/2 in. Female Pipe Thread Union Inlet x 1/2 in. Female Pipe Thread Union Outlet
- Typically installed on boiler feed lines to prevent backflow caused by back siphonage or back pressure
- For systems without antifreeze, rust inhibitors or other chemicals which will contaminate the potable water system
