Great training tool

We have a 20-pound dog. Would the shock option be too strong for him? I’ve read some reviews that said it was really strong. We would use this to control his barking. Thanks.

Battery Doesn't Last
We had two YardTrainers from 2004 that just stopped working and the CR2032 batteries would last for weeks to months. The new "rechargeable" YardTrainers need charged daily. Disappointing and certainly not an improvement.

SportDOG has gone above and beyond once again!
I recently purchased a transmitter and 2 collars to create an invisible fence for our dogs. After purchasing and installing the system, which worked phenomenally well, we purchased an automated lawnmower which also required an underground wire to act as the mower's border. Unfortunately, the lawnmower wire was interfering with the dog fence wire! This was obviously a really big problem, and the mower company couldn't do anything to help us. We called SportDOG hoping there was a way to change the frequency to something that wouldn't interfere. There was not, however, SportDOG sent us a new transmitter and 2 new collars, at no cost to us, to see if they would function without interference. Thankfully, they are working perfectly. The dogs are safe and secure within their boundary and the lawnmower is operating very effectively, as intended. Thank you SportDOG! This is an awesome product!

Level 1 shock is insanely strong!
Level 1 is insanely strong! Dog will yelp and jump. Not sure how one can even think about doing obedience with this level of stimulation. I tested it on my hand and level 1 with this system is equivalent to level 6 on other systems! Definitely do NOT use this on small/medium low drive dogs or you will likely run the spirit and hurt the training.

Best Training Collar
Purchased this for my 2.5 yr old weimaraner and she responded immediately to just the tone and even vibration. Have not had to use the static function once (yet). Range is extremely accurate and the battery holds up as advertised.

Works great
We’ve got a blue healer mix who is smart as all get but needed a bit of persuasion. He is absolutely obedient when this collar is on. The first time outside with it off he’s good and if I leave it off he’ll get back into old habits: Going in the chicken coop or pouncing around the rabbit hutch. With the collar on he doesn’t even acknowledge they’re there. Walks right past. Love it. Worth putting it on and off as we’re in the field.
