Glitchy and Unreliable
This lock is a total mess. No matter what you do it just keeps randomly going offline. It's set up correctly. As technically savvy people we've done everything as instructed in installation and resetting it yet it never stays online. For no reason it will go offline and stay that way. Nothing will make it work. Not to mention the myriad of instructions you have to through with both a Google and Nest app - two different apps to work this piece of junk - they do not make this easy! This is unnecessarily complex, poorly designed and totally worthless. Don't buy it.

Smooth and easy to use, but huge flaw in design
My house is 100% Nest. Cameras, etc. So when I bought a 2nd home for a rental it was a no brainer to add Nest to that home, including this lock for the front door.
Pros: Normal install, easy setup, sleek keypad, easy connectivity to app and app function is as expected with Nest products.
CONS: This is a huge one...there's no manual key option for ANY NEST DEADBOLT LOCK! Maybe this isn't an issue for you, but the unit I'm installing in only has 1 door in/out and I can't convince myself it's ok to use a deadbolt on the ONLY door for the unit without a backup key. Another downside is the requirement to use a 2nd wifi connection device like the nest connect, instead of just connecting to wifi.
I love the lock, but have had to remove it and go to another brand, use another app, etc. since I can't trust this lock without a key.
Sorry Nest, but a huge fail in partnership with Yale and shame on you Yale for only offering Nest 1 lock option and one without a Key!

Terrible Customer Service
I bought a Yale Smart lock for my vacation home. My hopes were to be able to track when the lock opens from an app. After a couple hours on the phone with "customer service " on Saturday. I was told to call Google because Yale doesn't have any knowledge on setup. I bought a Yale to have a Yale.. apparently I was dead wrong.
I was to to call Monday after 0800. We'll, I wouldn't be by the lock then.

Replacement Yale lock with Nest Connect.
We ordered a replacement as our Yale lock with nest connect stopped working for no good reason and draining the battery. When unit arrived it was easy to install and ask Nest team to help.

Terrible Bridge
We own a Nest x Yale Lock that is installed at a lightly used vacation property. After 1 1/2 years the bridge has quit working. We have gone through all of the trouble shooting, the only resolution we were given was to buy another bridge. We feel like the Yale Bridge should last longer than 1 1/2 years.
