As Advertised
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly as advertised, a truly universal garage door opener that even worked with my really old school Craftsman opener from the late 80s with the DIMM switches. Nothing great but just a traditional stylish black and silver opener that's universally appealing.

It worked!!!!!
I bought remote few months back from a website for my garage door opener unfortunately it didn’t work and I had to return it back. But I didn’t give up and I bought the universal chamberlain remote and it finally worked I’m so happy with this product easy setup for the people that don’t understand the instruction on the paper I suggest going on their website they provide on the manual and watch the video it really helps alot!!!!!

Doesn't Work as Advertised
The box and manual both say that this device can be used with a garage with dip switches. However, there is no dipswitch panel installed on the circuit board. New videos on the website acknowledge this, but I don't know anyone who goes to the store, picks up a device that says it does X feature, and then goes online to look at the videos to ensure that this is still accurate.

Good product, Bad instruction sheet
The enclosed instruction sheet is worthless. If you have DIP seitches, you must go on line, open the 51 page manual (17 useful pages, rest in foreign languages), find the page that applies to you, and follow it. The enclosed instruction sheet should at least be crossed to the big Manual, and reference it, but does not. You must hunt around on your own, among multiple things that can be downloaded.

Frustrating
This remote may work with other garage door openers, but not my Model 3000 Wayne Dalton. The instructions seemed clear enough but didn't help when the remote refused to program. Never could get the opener to respond to the written instructions, so I went on line to get more help. Watched the setup instruction video; it had some info that supplemented the boxed instructions but in the end that didn't help, either.
I'm giving the remote a score of two stars because, in all honesty, there was no help at the Chamberlain website. To be fair, this is the second universal remote I've tried with my door opener with the same result - maybe the problem is the door opener itself - but if Chamberlain's claim to universal compatibility is not accurate.

Horrible remote
Bought this yesterday to replace my old lift-master remote. Was able to program it to work on my door and it seemed to work fine so I threw the packaging and receipt away. Well I should have checked it outside the garage first, the distance on this is horrible, I have to get the remote to within 3 feet of the door to get it to work, and while in the car, I can't get it close enough to open it, when leaving the garage, I can't get the door shut using it without being a few feet away. Will have to try and buy another brand that has greater distance.

Great product - Lousy instructions
It took me longer to program this remote because the enclosed instructions are poorly written and were missing a step. I had to go on the Chamberlain website to get the correct instructions, but to their credit, Chamberlain made locating the proper instructions very easy.

Super Easy to Install! Have chosen twice!...
I love this remote! I got one for my dad (who has a single door garage). He bought a pre-owned house with no remote left. I programmed both sides of the button for the same door, so he doesn't have to pay attention to where he pushes. I just got a new car & no longer have HomeLink in the visor, so I got this remote this morning for myself. It was just as easy to program for my door as it was for my dad's. The video is very helpful. Took under 10-minutes for each programming. Would totally recommend! A+
