Master Mechanic Table Saw motor
I purchased a Master Mechanic Table Saw,on a stand about 10 years ago. I used it once and was afraid I would cut off my fingers. I put it in the garage.
Today my cousin wanted to use it and we took it out and hooked it up to power. It would not start!!! He has electrical knowledge and checked all electrical. It was getting power. He said it was the motor.
Why would a motor go bad after one use and just sitting in the garage undisturbed? I am highly disappointed. Guess a 79 year old disabled vet is not too old to learn something new.
But, it makes no sense. It was covered and just sitting in the garage. So, I told him to junk it.
I do not recommend buying a Master Mechanic 10" table saw because the motor is inferior!! It should have started!!

Horrible machine
I purchased this table saw because it was inexpensive and I only needed it for a few small projects. I generally subscribe to the "you get what you pay for" theory, and this purchase definitely lives up (down?) to that. I realized that the blade was offset - or not parallel to - the rip fence. While the manual described adequate fixes for a blade that was out of vertical and horizontal plum, the apparent fix for this product with a crooked blade is to jerry-rig the fence so that it runs parallel to the blade. Every other table saw that I've seen has an adjustable blade motor mount so that the blade can be easily trued up.
