Phone clamp failed
I use the mount fairly often when I drive the one car it's in, which is maybe 20% of the time I drive. The clamp ratchet stopped working. It stays open so it won't hold the phone now.

The ball mount is really nice and not obtrusive looking when not in use. Unfortunately the clamping mechanism to the phone is poorly made, it doesn't hold very well and tough to remove if you don't take it off the dash mount first because the release is not easy to get to. you shouldn't have to pull it off the mount, then release the phone, then put the mount back - not convenient. I ended up taking the magnet off the clamp and putting it directly on my phone - I didn't really want a magnet on the phone, but that was the best option to use this. I wouldn't buy this one again, but might consider one that uses the larger magnet (I also had trouble with the small magnet "Original" as it wouldn't hold the phone at any angle, it would just droop from the weight.

Love it except….
I bought this about a month ago. I love it. My phone doesn’t hit the floor in my semi truck going over rough roads. Downfall is that the adjustable grips keep falling off of the grip. One has now gotten lost and now my phone is slipping. I have searched for replacement ones but sadly you guys don’t offer them like you do the adhesive.

Broke after a month
I use this mount in my semi, I've had it for about a month and the part that holds the phone broke. Magnets work great though

Cheaply made
Works great...until it doesn't. One day it stopped holding my phone and wouldn't click shut anymore. My engineering dad took it apart and saw that the part that holds the lever cracked because it's made of cheap plastic. This is the 2nd one this happened to.

Glue tab & Clamp problems
The idea is good, the materials and engineering execution is bad. First - glue tab included for mounting came off with the weight of the phone in the holder when the car heated up. Second, the adjustable clamp to hold the phone could only be tightened within certain increments and the one closest fit for my phone with case did not clamp tight enough to eventually allow it to slide down unless you turned the phone on it's side - which I don't prefer. Tried the alternate rubber holders but those did not help the situation either. Would have been better to make the rubber something with a little more resistance or engineer the stop positions better.

Great concept
It's a great concept. I've bought 2 of these and both have broke. First one lasted 4 months and the gear lock quit working. The second ones arm broke. It was 2 weeks old.
