Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not good instructions Product appear to be good for the price and the very light work I would be doing with it. Also I went by the manufacturer reputation. However the instructions are really lacking in details, especially to fix the two wooden plates. There are slide blocks (step 6) to be fixed below these wooden plates. For this, there are no clear, detailed pictures. Instructions are very short and combined in one step. This is very frustrating. Also the snap in knob (step 5) looks to be very tight to assemble to handle arm. It can not be pushed by had but need a hammer to drive it in. I was afraid it may break. Instructions on the web are a little better than that received with the equipment, not sure why it was not in the package. New buyers may want to take note of this. I have spent several hours to assemble it, even thought of returning but then decided to keep it anyway. Asking for a reference in the review is not a professional way of working for a company like this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way Too Complicated To Put Together I can put together anything, you name it. Just like others said, the instructions are not accurate. I spent 2 hours and got to step 3. There is even a video on youtube, which glosses over the step I need to see clearly before I can move to the next step, but you can't see where the guy puts the thingy. Too bad. Would have been nice to have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worth the cheap price, be ready for an adventure p I have owned this items before, the previous version (years ago) was strong and well built. This one misses the mark in both cases; that said it is worth the cheap price. BUT, be ready for an adventure putting it together. I can deal with instructions written in poor English, that I am used to. But instructions that have clearly never be reviewed by anyone is inexcusable. Black and Decker management, specifically the Quality Control Director, needs to try and put this product together using the included instructions. I have attached an image of "Step 4", the impossible step. There is no relation between the words and the picture. I thought a future step might clear up the instructions, not so. "Step 6", the final step, is worse than "Step 4", basically this step shows the workmate all going together in one step. Crazy. Without the YouTube video I would have packed it up and returned it. My suggestion, unpack the workmate, skim the instructions then throw them away and go to "How To Assemble Your Workmate 125" on YouTube.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product is fine but instructions are awful Get ready to figure out how to put this together on your own because the instruction manual is complete garbage. Some of the pieces are never even called for and the diagrams have nothing to do with the pieces mentioned in the related steps (e.g. step 1 calls for pieces A B and C but the related diagram shows assembly for pieces D E and F). What should have taken about 20 minutes to put together took an hour. Luckily the product itself seems fine and will do the job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice small lightweight work center I had one of these many years ago and decided to purchase another as I am always doing projects around the home and need a workbench to cut or hold items while I work. It should be nice for that. I am a retired civil engineer and construction manager so I have looked at plans and studied details for over 40 years. The instruction manual is very poor. The details are not clear, many parts are not identified in the details. It took me almost two hours to put this together and it should have been done in 30 minutes. It was really frustrating trying to figure out the details and correct part. I see there is a blown up picture of all the parts and their place on the bench on the website. Why is this not in the instruction manual!! When I'm in the garage putting this together I'm not in front of a computer. Simply put this in the instruction manual!! You are frustrating your customers!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pair of Extra Hands! This is an addition to the older version of workmate. Love it. Makes a great bench for temporary work table, and even a great extension table for Compound Mitre Saw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than any saw horse, and it clamps too! I bought two of these to use while building a project and I found they worked great, were easy to handle and could do a lot of things besides hold up the doors I was applying lacquer to. Since that project I have used them to clamp round cutting boards while gluing them (they hold extremely well and don't lose their grip until you want them to). We also had a yard sale recently and I used them to create a table for displaying our sale items along with a piece of plywood. My wife tossed an old tablecloth over the top and we had more questions about the table than what we were selling! Stop thinking about it and buy one - or two. The uses are only limited by your imagination.
