How old is your charger?!
I just want to add, that all these buyers are complaining about their batteries not charging ,brand new out the package, which is very odd.. So just want to throw it out there ,that maybe your chargers are bad, I had a #2 chargers just stop charging my batteries, i acquired new chargers from pawn shop , and bam .. batteries are up and running.. So idk maybe take a look at them before giving up Good Luck!

Won't charge right out of the sealed package
So I bought the big DCF899B impact wrench and this DBC205 battery. The new battery's fuel gauge shows 1 light of charge out of the package. I put it on the DCB112 charger and it flashed dual red lights twice, then added the orange third light for a second then went to solid dual reds signifying a full charge. I also put it on a DBC107 charger with similar results. This is disappointing. I'm wondering if I should return this wrench and battery before adding more yellow tools to my collection. Two of my buddies switched over to the red brand of tools. If a battery doesn't charge right out of the box, how can I give it get any stars for anything? I have a couple of brake jobs planned for this weekend. Guess I'll just be busting my knuckles one more time. Happy to review this again if I get a working product when I return this one. I didn't want to switch to red, but the reviews on this product are terrible and this is so frustrating! Hope to get some kind of response.

Terrible batteries for the Dewalt name
Bought 2 20v 5amp batteries with 12" chainsaw. First few times worked great, now batteries last 5 minutes each. Used less then 10 times since purchase

Worth every penny.
I was extremely impressed with this unit. Outstanding performance in a compact size. Perfect to load up and go anywhere. It’s great for my 3/4 work truck.

Best Battery
One of the best dewalt batteries I’ve ever owned! Last a long time on one charge depending on the work load!

I should have listened to everyone else!
Dear Dewalt, I’ve been using your tools for years and while everyone else was saying your batteries don’t charge I thought who are these inept “handymen”? Then I bought a new pack of batteries… your quality control guy needs fired, cause this —— ain’t right. I don’t want to run Red but I’m beginning to consider Milwaukee cause they aren’t struggling with this. Time to make the batteries and chargers compatible again.
-Sincerely, A powerless tool

Did not last long
very disappointed in this battery I used it very very lightly just for blowing leaves off tennis courts mainly in the fall and I've only used it two years and the batteries already gone.
Also the nozzle on the blower never locked in correctly, it was always loose ???
