Nicely built.
Sturdy & feels well built. Nice electronic gas valve that requires no external power. It has a pilot light that powers the electronics. Inlet, outlet and gas piping locations as well as diameter & height are different than my previous Reliance heater that operated for 21 years. This made installation significantly more difficult. The inlet and outlet pipes had heat traps that looked like cap plugs. Leave them in place for better operation. Also, there is a ribbon of perforated material at the very bottom - this is an air filter that can be removed by pulling it out of two slots at the front. Good luck getting it back in, especially if you don't have access to the rear of the water heater. At any rate, I hope this one lasts 21 years, too.
