Meh
There isn't anything special about this brush. It is possible that this is not the right product for my cat, but I find that it doesn't really do much in terms of grooming or removing any hair.

Good brush for daily use
I find that this brush well made and useful for daily grooming. We have 2 German shepherds. One is a short hair and one is a long hair. The brush works equally well on both dogs.

Splitting rubber=choking hazards
I read a previous review that said their rubber split. Low and behold, I was using our brush today and two pins came out. Purchased direct from furminator in Sep ‘18, can provide order number. Closer examination there are cracks throughout the rubber padding. Fortunately found the pins in the yard. The handle also started coming loose but was manageable.

Rubber holding the pins splits
This is not a durable product. The rubber holding the pins splits where the pins come thru leaving the pins loose. A few more brushings of my short haired Boston Terrier and I expect to find missing pins. We have used it about 6 months and are not satisfied with the quality.

Solid version of an old classic
Bought this earlier this month, and it works well. The metal pins have collars that should help prevent them from being pushed back through the mounting material, which is a problem with another two-sided brush we have. Surface head is adequate. A bit larger would be better for bigger animals. We have a labrador retriever.
