Great customer service but had some hiccups
The grill itself is fine. Performs like any other kettle should perform. Ended up getting three different bottom halves sent because one was not perfectly round, they sent another one, but forgot to put the vent on the bottom, then sent another one. Overall took 2 1/2 weeks to get my kettle together because of this.

Had to replace the old girl
Is there another kettle bbq besides Weber? I don’t think so. I finally had to replace my old Weber (30 years old). The old Weber had served me well.

Turned me into a proper suburban dad
I'm 67 years old and have never grilled anything besides hot dogs and hamburgers on a variety of big box store grills. Grilling was just a necessary chore so we could eat. Then my wife got me this gem.
All of a sudden I WANT to grill. I've made several steaks (for the first time in my life) that came out perfect. She also got me Weber's Greatest Hits and Weber's Smoke cookbooks and frankly, I had no idea I could actually cook. I use the Weber chimney to get the coals started, and once I drop them the vents do a great job controlling the temperature. Keeping it clean is simple too, especially getting rid of the ashes.
Whether you're a novice or a veteran griller, I guarantee you will be happy with this grill.

Can't NOT have a Weber.
I had one of these for several years. My children got me a large smoker and I gave the Weber to one of the kids (He had just bought a house needed a grill). Immediately missed my Weber, so I got a new one for regular grilling days.

Wonderful grill for our camper/seasonal site
I love my pellet smoker but wanted a charcoal grill to keep at our camper/seasonal site. I had a cheap grill that did not cook well. I bought this grill and it has been wonderful. It heats evenly and managing the temperature is easy with top and bottom vent. Our site has a lot of leaves on the ground so I wanted a grill that would contain the ashes. The bottom pan holds the ashes in place very well until they cool down and I dump them. Just a wonderful grill to cook with!

Hard to make a fair assessment, I've only use it twice and was happy with results. Happy with packaging, everything was in perfect condition. Was a little unhappy to find out the grills are actually made in China now.

Two useful features
I wanted a charcoal grill to supplement my pellet grill. This kettle grill had two features that made it a winner for me. The ash catcher was important for making its use safer. The grill also has two raisable segments that let me add more briquettes or wood chunks easily.

I was so happy with the price that I did not look closely enough and realize that there is only one handle on the grill body!! Not happy happy about that at all!! The ash pan system is awful! Most difficult thing I have ever encountered! Cooks fine.

Current user of three Weber grills
This is the best yet. I have 3 Weber grills 1 I received for a wedding gift 42 years ago and I still use it. And a gold model I've been using for at least 15 years. But this one is the best yet very easy to assemble and works great.

Always owned a Weber kettle grill, my only complaint is the vent needs to be made stronger, had several Kettle grills in the past and it’s always the vents that break due to wear and usage, forcing me to buy a new kettle, without the vents it’s hard to control the temp and flames.

Same grill ! A few changes would make better.
After buying 22 in. Kettles over 25 years, I know they are very good grills. There were a few things I notices. One, no more handle on the back of the grill which helped move the grill. I do miss that feature. Also I liked it having a temperure gauge but soon realized it was useless because of where it was placed. It should be close to the temperature control vent on the hood. This would help when cooking indirect heat. This third weber over the years.

How I love my grill i’m glad I bought it.
This grill was very easy to put together. I was able to put it together within 45 minutes. Everything fit perfectly, did not have any problems reading the instructions i’m very impressed with all the new features that it has that my old one did not have the first time I grilled on it were ribs. They turned out amazing I Family could not stop complementing me on how good they were.

A great version of an old classic
After using gas for years, I decided to go back to charcoal. I purchased both a Weber smoker and this grill. Both got lots of use this summer and made a lot of people happy. The grill is easy to start, use, and clean. And charcoal definitely kicks the flavor up a notch. I should have made the switch a long time ago.
