Very poor product
I bought this a couple weeks ago. Used only twice with fresh ethanol-free gas and oil. Just spent over an hour trying to get it started after not using it for a week. Didn't leave gas in it after the last use. Will not start. I used to think Troy-Bilt was good. This is junk. I won't be buying any more Troy-Bilt products. If I had the option of rating it a 0 I would.

Starting difficulties
This trimmer is difficult to start. It started up well for the first use, but subsequent uses have been problematic. I have tried every method suggested in the owners manual for starting the unit… nothing brings much success. Otherwise, the trimmer works as it should.

Great trimmer; very powerful. Heavier than I would have liked. Starts easy. Trim breaks often, especially when edging driveways and is not easy to reload.

Good "everyday" weedeater
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some pros and cons, but overall I'm happy with this weedeater! The straight shaft does make it easier to trim around and underneath shrubs and some of those harder to reach spots between the house/AC, etc. It really is pretty lightweight and does not obnoxiously shake. Being 39" in height, I still have to bend over slightly and so does my husband (5'7" and 6'2" for reference). It's got good power for your standard perimeter weedeating and maintenance, but it is not something you would be able to use for overgrowth, thicker weeds or in general, heavy duty use. Good value, great price. Also liked that it came with the basics so it's plug and play for first use.
