My third Weber grill
This is my third Weber grill and my first Weber tabletop model. I recently purchased the Q1200 to replace a different brand as my new RV grill. I BBQed on three separate nights: salmon, ribeye and chicken thighs. The unit operated as it should. There was a learning curve to place the meat on the grill at the correct temperature as not to have the burner flame up and burn the meat. The grates are heavy and retain the heat so from my experience, reducing the flame to low doesn't immediately lower the cooking temp. The grill preheated to 500 degrees at highest setting and I had to lower the setting after placing the meat on the grill. On my third use only preheated to 375, no flame up. The cooking grill is in two haves and is easy to clean in the sink after use. I prefer to have a temp gauge on my BBQs, one of the reasons I selected this model. I am planning on cooking a whole chicken as a friend recommended. He stated it possible due to the dome style hood design. The folding side tables are handy but for my use there not really needed. Overall, I would recommend this grill to cook for 1 to 4 persons.

Unlike a certain other "Q"... This Q is for REAL!
Perfect grill for empty-nesters, young couples, and the like. Just the right size for dinners for two! Much more efficient with propane than firing up the big grill and faster & less fuss than breaking out the charcoal. The Q is now my #1 grill and all the others are relegated to "special events". The design of the Q is very well thought out and all of the accessories, such as the cart, the 20lb tank hose, and even the grill cover work seamlessly together - Like they were actually designed to work as a system!
And yet, you can quickly ditch all the extras, grab one of the little 1lb propane tanks you get from the hardware store, and head out with a light, self-contained, set-up that's perfect for a picnic at the beach or tailgating - the Q is versatile!
I was concerned prior to purchasing the Q that it might not have enough BTUs to get that perfect sear. Absolutely NOT an issue! I'm not sure if it's the burner design, the burner spacing, or whatever magic Weber's come up with but it cooks like it's BTU rating is 5X greater than stated!
Simply put, the Weber Q is awesome! I only wish I'd gotten one sooner.

Great searing on both sides
Excellent for steaks. The searing is done well and the cast iron grate is large enough to flip to the second side and still get those deep searing marks. The thermometer is a great help in setting the gas flow which for the entire grilling is about 10 minutes on low for a one inch Porterhouse.

The Q1200 model from years ago spoiled me. Received this one and was shocked at how lightweight and thin the aluminum shell is! As well, the “fire power” is not as strong as it used to be.

Little but mighty
I have been waiting to get one of these for a few years now. I wish I had gotten the bigger of the two as food for 4 gets a little crowded on this grill, but its size makes it awesome to heat up quickly. I do feel like I wasted money on the weber stand. When you're trying to clean it, it sways like an old skyscraper on a windy day.

If you a want/need a small grill, but one that is REAL GRILL, with good features, this grill is for you. Since I have been RVing full time, I have had several grills, and they were crap.. this grill is even heating, gets really 🔥 hot, and has accomplished every task. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with it. I added a griddle, and bacon 🥓 is super fast and tastes better than any other cooking method. Thanks Weber, for making a great product.
