Does NOT work on polyethylene or polypropylene
Why does it not state that clearly on the package? I would have bought something else. I did my due diligence and looked it up before buying while I was at the store and reached a JB Weld product page for an item also labeled 50133. That page states “Ideal for repairing all ABS, PVC, polyurethane, and polypropylene plastics." Is that a completely different product? Is there a different 50133? It's only after digging around in the comments of this page that I see a JB Weld rep respond to another review stating: “will work on most plastics, save for polyethylene and polypropylene”. What’s the deal?

Won’t cure completely
I bought this today for a bumper repair on my daughters cars. Just like another person wrote, it is not cure to a hard consistency. Has a gummy feel to it.

Does not seem to work when in contact with gas.
Bought it to fix a plastic gas rail line but it did not seem to harden even though I used it in what can be considered perfect condition of temperature and humidity. The gas tank specific two parts finger mixing option was too corse to connect this line so opted for this version but may have messed up the whole project. It’s probably great everywhere else like all other JB weld products.

Would not cure correctly
I bought to repair old plastic vacuum cleaner tool bracket. I always keep a sample of the mixed product on the side to track curing time. This stuff took all night to cure and stikll had a soft, gummy consistency, but at least it held the seem of thepart together. I had to overlay that repair bond with JB Weld's other clear plastic epoxy to finish the job... that stuff did cure well and it made the part useable. I either got a bad batch of this plastic bonder, or perhaps it was too humid (I'm in Florida), or mixing it on a piece of aluminum foil messed it up chemically. The stuff failed to really cure to any hardness.

Excellent results on various plastics
Saved a lot of money using this to repair pin holes and cracks on 3 fuel tanks on a riding mower, a chain saw and a string trimmer. All were HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene). Also worked on various rigid PVC and ABS items including the cracked case of a cordless tool battery pack. All repairs have lasted 3 months or more. I suggest you mark one side of the tube cap with an ink marker so you put the cap back in the correct position... I briefly put the cap on wrong and it got welded to the syringe. It has taken more than 15 minutes to set, but that's OK. Really excellent results!!!
