Rated 4 out of 5 by from Never used a log hook but I will from now on [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to make picking up logs to cut down for firewood just that much easier. I didn't get the point of something like this at first, but once I started using it I immediately found the appeal. It saves my hands and my gloves from wear and tear and it holds the log securely when I walk it over to chop it down. Definitely was worth the try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t so sure this would work well when I got it but I was wrong! It is perfect for grabbing logs that my be covered in poison ivy when gathering firewood in the woods. It is well built and feels very solid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For smaller logs [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the hook works good but only on smaller logs. Most of my trees are to large for this so it will not hold them. In smaller diameter logs to grips good and makes moving them easy, but since they are small they are easy to move anyways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful log hook [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to use the Fiskars log hook because a tree had fallen into my hay field which needed to be turned over to attach a log chain for pulling it out of my field. The hook at first was not grabbing into the wood log until I used more force and got the point deeper into the log. The log that I turned was four and a half inches thick on one end and about ten inches on the other end. The log hook worked very well for the work I was doing though the handle itself could be more useful if longer for more leverage. Using this log hook helped to get the job done easier and faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mid-sized log hook that's ergonomic and effective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this log hook for a little over 2 weeks, and I'm impressed with it overall. Impressions: 1. The size of this hook is just about perfect for most common work. It's just large enough to handle most regular jobs around my property. 2. The handle feels very comfortable. 3. This hook is super durable. I've put this hook through its paces and it looks nearly new still. 4. Absolutely no bend or flex. Bottom line: If you need a mid-sized log hook, this is a very good option. The handle is very comfortable, the hooks is durable, and there's almost no flex or bend to the whole hook. Highly recommended 5 stars

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work for me. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave the Fiskars log hook a try. I have quite a few mature wild cherry and locust trees in my yard. When those trees drop large branches, I have to clean up the tree debris. I thought this hook would give me some mechanical advantage handling those dropped branches. I just could not get the hook to really help me do that. I could not get the point of the hook to stick into the log which would’ve enabled me to turn the log. Also, the hook is obviously sized to specific diameter logs. And as you know, when working with trees, the diameter of the branches and logs is always changing. In the end, I could not get this hook to help me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built ergo handle hook [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We process and burn about 7 cords of wood per winter. I’ve used a log jack for years to get logs off the ground when bucking, so I thought this Fiskar’s 10” log hook would be another great tool to make the process easier. I really like the ergonomic handle and the belt holder so you are not bending over to pick the tool up off the ground. It worked best on smaller logs about 8” in diameter. I also found it handy to roll logs on the ground where I would cut most of the way through a log with the chainsaw, then roll the log to complete the cut and avoid dulling a blade by cutting all the way through and hitting earth. It’s a well built tool that can also be used with Fiscar’s log tongs to pickup smaller logs for stacking or cutting off a log horse. Give it a try and see how it works for you.
