great quality and features
I've had mine for a couple of years already, and it's as good as ever. The blade tensioning and release mechanism is really convenient and the tool has good balance and finish. The blade storage in the beam is nice, but like it's old Lenox competitor, Stanley just puts a small machine screw through the sidewalk of the box beam to keep those spare blades in there,,, and I've had to be very, very careful to keep it from stripping out. They should thicken the die cast front piece and our at least a 1/4 screw in there, strong enough to tighten down on a blade and let it be used as a jab saw for those special occasions...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own this hacksaw, and the Lenox tools high tension hacksaw. This Stanley works decent, but the Lenox cuts much better and faster, and can also be tensioned a lot higher.
