Rated 1 out of 5 by from blade change I had to take it apart to change the blade. I purchased it because it was supposed to be easy. The blade comes out but good luck getting a new one in. Poor design. I have had easier blade change with much cheaper knives. This makes me have doubts about purchasing any products from Stanley in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Best utility knife I've ever owned - except - I was cutting thick cardboard and the little red plastic knob on the red blade keeper inside the knife busted off making the knife useless! Plastic??? Stanley, what were/are you thinking?? Bought a second one for myself and another for a friend. With this flaw, did I make mistakes?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from useless agree with so many other - total piece of junk and goes straight in the trash. Which idiot made this stupid design - impossible to insert blade unless you take the whole thing apart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lower than junk NOT up to Stanleys previous products that I have bought over the years. Blades are a pain in the finger when you get cut trying to load a blade. Bought about two hours ago and will be returned in about the same time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from frustrating Why is it that these knives will not hold the blade and keep it from slipping right out. I have bought my last one ! Do the people who design these knives not ever use them for anything more that cutting cotton balls. Iv'e had plenty of these and they all do the same thing. They allow the blade to just slide out when you put some real pressure on them like cutting the drywall along the jamb of a door . I can't stand poorly made hand tools. Sorry Stanley but this knife is going in the trash.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better instruction For those of you having trouble putting the blade in, push the slider all the way to the top, hold the red button and insert the blade in as far as it can go. Release the red button and cut away. To remove follow the same exact steps but remove the blade instead of inserting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Over engineered, no useful instructions Take a simple utility knife, make it bulkier than it could be, use star drive screws instead of "normal" screws and don't provide info on use and trouble shooting instructions and this is what you get.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Junk. The loading design is cool, and would be really handy IF it worked. But the blades don't lock in correctly and cutting anything of substance cause the blades to get stuck and need a pliers to pull it out and try again. I own several utility knives and this one is now in the garbage.
