Essentials extra strong
We bought this a few months ago and opened it yesterday. It’s beyond horrible, neither of us can even believe you would make such a terrible product. It is so thin, you can read through it and you must have a lot of additional ingredients, as thin as it is, it’s like using sandpaper. We can’t find the receipt for us to take it back, but with other of your products being great, this isn’t even close to your standards.

Hard to believe that it has the name CHARMIN
I was walking down the paper goods aisle and a12=40 roll package of Charmin Essentials all by itself, apparently the rest of the block had been sold, caught my eye, never hurts to be sure you have Charmin TP, so I threw it in my cart.
This was the worst TP I have ever used. many years ago I used to travel to Europe on business. The TP was like newspaper, this was almost as bad!
I have used Charmin TP as long as I can remember and I am shocked the Charmin would even put it's name on this product.

We all use it. We just don’t talk about it. Charming is thick and soft so you use less, it doesn’t leave lint behind, it is affordable and an all around good toilet paper. Never had any problems flushing it.

I am absolutely stunned by this product and not in a good way. Charmin has been a reliable go to product for my family for years. The Charmin essentials is the worst name brand tissue I have ever used. So disappointed that I literally made it a point to let you know it is really bad, terrible. Charmin products are now questionable in my eyes.

Worst toilet paper EVER!
I thought somehow this paper was a mistake...like maybe your machinery accidentally made my favorite MEGA Soft with some cheap 1 ply off brand material! I was about to contact your customer service department to tell you about the mistake but then I happened to notice I had wrongly bought your Essentials line! This toilet paper is literally the thinnest, crispiest, yuckiest toilet paper I have ever used! Charmin WHAT WERE YOU THINKING! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Awful- thin- cheap paper
I have been buying Charmin for many years. I didn't know they had this as a "new" one. I might as well have been buying the cheapest toilet paper made. Just awful! Thin, full of mystery "holes". I will no longer be buying Charmin, just in case I end up with this one again.

Bought by accident, but won't be fooled twice
I bought the Charmin Essentials (Red Label), thinking it was new packing of the same thing we have bought for years. The absolute worst Charmin I have ever seen. Not worth saving a few pennies. I complained to the Navy Commissary (where it was purchased). I was told there was difficulty getting normal stock.
My wife and I will be glad when it's gone. Maybe, by then, she forgive me for the purchase.

As a lifetime P&G fan & shareholder, I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the Charmin Essentials line of products! Low quality, rough texture, easily torn & soaked through - This is not what I expect from my favorite Charmin brand! Generic bathroom tissue is superior in every way!

Because it said Charmin, I bought it. That’s our favorite brand and all we buy. I didn’t realize Charmin Essentials Strong was a different quality. It’s awful. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I know we have had a toilet paper shortage, but I would not put the name Charmin on this product.

Husband brought this home. I’m not a fan of this toilet paper at all. It feels tissue-papery and cheap. Like the kind in public restrooms. I might just be a toilet paper snob but I prefer using the plushy stuff on my wipe zone. I’ll be buying my usual brand ASAP and putting this in the kid’s bathrooms to get used up there.

Thin and Scratchy
When I bought a pack of Charmin I assumed it would be nice and soft like the last pack I bought. I was shocked when I used it. This TP has no logo, is scratchy, and paper thin. I think the package should be labeled "bargain TP".

My partner is super duper particular when it comes to toilet paper and Charmin is the only brand we use. We like the Essentials Strong one, but all of the varieties are great (although the Ultra Soft isn't our favorite, it's better than using another brand).

This is basically 1 ply
Wish I could figure out how to attach my picture... this is one ply. You can easily see my fingers through it. Can’t believe I paid extra for this angel soft is cheaper and disappointingly superior. Don’t waste your money even if you are pandemic shopping the last tp on the shelf.

Product is very poor
We only buy Charmin Ultra Soft. Apparently the last time we bought some, all they had was Essentials brands so we got the Strong. It's hard to understand why you would make such an inferior TP. Single-ply?!? seriously?!? We've been using twice as much, obviously, and besides that.....it's rough. This should not have the famous Charmin name on it!

I have never bought a roll of Charmin that wasn't soft until now. I bought this toilet paper with the assumption that it would have the same feel that every roll I have ever bought did, but no, this feels like the most generic public bathroom toilet paper you could ever find. Unfortunately, I bought the 12 pack and every time I use I think about how awful this toilet paper is. If it wasn't so challenging to get toilet paper, I would honestly through it all out. I don't know how they can use the same brand for this cheap, rough paper. It’s awful!!! Don't buy!
