Larson Lake Breeze Screen Door
I recently purchased and installed the Lake Breeze screen door by Larson. The door that it replaced was an older Larson storm door which had been repeatedly damaged by the wind from the lake. The new product is noticeably cheaper made. The latch mechanism is very light duty and can’t imagine that it will last too long. The adjustable sweep at the door bottom is plastic with the sweep molded into the plastic shoe that fits onto the door. Again very evident that Larson is trying to cut corners to save manufacturing costs and it certainly shows on this product. I can understand if the door was cheap to purchase, but that is not the case with this door. Be aware that this is at best an average quality product and certainly not a heavy duty design.

glass breakage - but we love the door
We have a 4 yr old Tradewinds Fullview Bevel Storm Door. With all glass in place on a sunny day the lower glass section imploded leaving a pile of small fragments. We theorized that possibly heat build up caused the problem. Has anyone reported such an incident? Also how can you removed that frame so we can get it to a glass shop.
Last question (think I know the answer)- would this be covered by warranty?>

Easy to install!
I had been looking for a storm door that was affordable and easy to use. Love that the screen is on the top of the door and not at the bottom where pets could scratch it.

Love this door! So do neighbors!
Bought 3 yrs ago. Easy for contractor replacing kitchen to install. Easy to adjust speed (?) of closing once we figured out how to do it. Works perfectly still. 3 other neighbors bought same model. 1 about a year ago and they said easy install and works great. 3rd just bought about 6 months ago. Also easy install and they love it. Great for air and light. Ease of use. Looks great! A little pricey, but worth it.

Beautiful door!
I am so pleased with my storm door and love its retractable screen. My contractor, a man of very few words, commented "Nice door, really good quality" after he installed it. I agree; the door is substantial. The retractable screen on my door isn't quite as effortless as the video shows. I had to give it a pretty good tug, but once it releases, it comes down easily. I only ever had storm doors with removable screens, so it's nice to be able to choose the level of ventilation so effortlessly. I love that there are no screens to remove and store.

Door came infested with brown beetles
Retractable Screen Away, Model 146FVE, Registration no. 14604082E.411210429. Beetles are in middle of door, between the 2 pieces of glass. Door delivered 7/8/21; installed 7/9/21. Morning of 7/10/21, beetles are visible as stated above. I killed and removed them, but beetles keep appearing in the same spot every morning since then. I need help getting rid of the infestation OR a new, uninfected door and new installation, and Larson determine source of infestation which occurred prior to delivery to my house and stop this from recurring..
