Rated 2 out of 5 by from shifting issues The tiller does not want to shift or gets jammed in forward or reverse positions. Currently the tiller stays in gear and runs forward or reverse the kill switch is the only way to stop it. I just purchased it in April not I have to bring it to a shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good!! I just bought my troy Bilt mustang tiller today, I didn’t have it tilling for 10 minutes before I sucked a big flat rock up in reverse rotation and jammed it, bent one of the times which went into the gearbox but that was my fault, just be careful when you’re in reverse rotation you don’t do this, my suggestion would be use only in forward rotation until you know your soil is clean and free of larger rocks, I did remove the bolo tine and bent it back, continued tilling for several hours! I love this machine so far!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wheels turn too fast. Wheels turn too fast which makes tiller hard to control when trying to till close to crops.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s okay Belt is making loud noises after one time use but other than that it’s okay. Not built like they use to

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great tiller! I've had this for a couple of months now. There's lots to be enjoyed about this model; however, one issue can be a deal breaker for some. The transmission is very difficult to shift most of the time. I always have to resort to grabbing at the machine and pull/push pretty hard instead of using the lever (lever bends too easy) and usually have to fiddle around with hitting the engage lever to loosen up on the inside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Troy Bilt Mustang Rototiller The tiller arrived scratched up, missing a nut, without zip ties, and no operator's manual. I went to the hardware and found the missing nut and purchased it. And I went online and downloaded a replacement manual. Will likely spray paint the scratches. And I had some zip ties. So once the tiller was all together, I tilled my garden area. It was difficult to do the first tilling. The 2nd and 3rd were easier and the 4th was much much easier. I'm very pleased the tiller starts on one pull.
