Easy cleaning fo dishes!
I love cascade products- leave my dishes much cleaner than the generic dishwashing packs. The platinum action packs are a good price and leave things smelling fresh and clean!

Only ones I use!
These are the only dishwasher pods I use! They work so well that I have never had to go searching for anything else. My dishes come out clean and they are gentle on my dishwasher. Win win!

Work better than others
I’m still trying to find a pod that I “LOVE” but I will say that these are the best that I have found so far. We have pretty hard water so it’s a challenge to get everything clean, and the machine isn’t the best. But I do feel like I’m constantly cleaning my dishes just to put them in the dishwasher

Personally I prefer these over other brands. They have a high cleaning ability, but really sets them apart is the fact that I never get those pesky white residue rings around my dish wear when I use this brand

Lingering detergent scent and TASTE
I have to say that I feel validated reading that other users have experienced the same issue that I have - the lingering taste of detergent. These "ActionPacs" have a very strong scent which we obviously noticed right away with the sample that we tried. We were, however, pleased with how clean our dishes were, so we decided to buy a whole package (92 count at BJs) which I now deeply regret. We were only a few pods into our package when we realized that our silicone and plastic items not only held the scent, but also that our food was starting to taste like the detergent. Our dishwasher is rinsing properly, I clean the filter at least once a week, and the dishwasher is only a few months old. After reading some of your other responses to reviewers experiencing the same thing and thinking maybe some of our items were older than we really remembered, we did a little test. I had just purchased a set of new silicone baking molds so I put a couple of them in with a load of other dishes. When they came out, the smell of the detergent lingered. We tried just letting them “air out”, but that didn’t help. We tried rinsing them again, both by hand and with the dishwasher’s rinse cycle. Nope! Nothing helped! Curious, I tried baking something in one of them. Before getting to the results of that though, I want to share that, without thinking about it, I made the grave mistake of licking some of the batter off the silicone spatula/scraper. It seemed like I might as well have licked one of the ActionPacs, and I had to try a number of things to get the detergent taste out of my mouth! The results of my baking experiment… any area of the food that was in contact with the silicone mold tasted like soap (and that was with just one washing). For a few more days we continued to use the “ActionPacs’ with our other dishes and just washed our silicone and any nylon/plastic items by hand. Not only was that inconvenient, but we soon found other items had a lingering smell and in some cases taste of detergent. It wasn’t nearly as strong, but it was still there. We have stopped using your product and are replacing any silicone/nylon/plastic items that were washed with it.

Cascade Platinum ActionPacs causing discoloration
I put my Revere Ware pots in our dishwasher and used the Cascade Platinum pods. The copper bottoms of the pots turned gray, which I couldn't scrub back to their original color. I went back to using Cascade Complete pods and the original copper color returned. I also washed some sterling silver utensils with the Platinum pods and they ended up discolored as well. Required cleaning with silver polish to remove the discoloration. Again, using the Cascade Complete pods did not cause any discoloration to the silver pieces.

Cleans my dishes!
I’ve been purchasing these pods for several years and I’ve never had any issues. Glasses never have dry spots or come out cloudy, and I’ve never seen leftover food on my dishes or silverware. Will continue to use these!

Gets the job done!
It is amazing how one little pack can knock out the grime and grit each time. My family doesn’t always rinse their plates before putting them into the dish washer, but these little packs hold up and gets the job done!

It is very effective in cleaning waste.
I really like to use this product to wash my utensils, because it does not have a strong smell of product and removes all the fat that remains in the utensils after use. Very good!

I seriously will not use another dish washing tab in my dishwasher. They are seriously the best. If I try to use another brand in my dishwasher, there is a white film left on my dishes. I end up having to rerun my dishwasher with one of these ActionPacs to remove the film. They truly are worth the extra money.

The best pods!
I love how these actually leave glassware free of water marks! I made the mistake of buying the cascade pods without the little purple liquid and instantly noticed the way water dried and stayed on my clear glasses after a dish washing cycle. Can’t wait to finish my current stash so I can go back to the platinum cascade pods.

Awful smell.
Amazing clean but smell awful. Even after extra rinse the smell is blatant. Ruined many hot drinks and meals already. If the blue in the pack really is a the scent and not a gimmick I’ll try popping and draining that part. My dishwasher is near new and sparkling clean, no issue with the appliance. My water isn’t hard, my dishes are near new. No reason to blame anything other than these packs. Other detergents work fine. Don’t even really understand the scent thing… why? It’s not furniture.. why do dishes need to smell? If I could return I would, likely chucked the receipt weeks ago when I hadn’t realized these were a dud.

Am not impressed! My dishes are clean and scented BUT they taste like the scent. Not only the payoff but my metal and glass too. Open the dishwasher to a fresh scent and follow it with coffee tasting like cleaner. Not ok!

I think as dishwashing soap it does what it says it's going to. Dishes come out clean and pretty much spotless. I have an issue with the storage of the big packs. When you get to the bottom of the box they're all stuck together and messy pulling them apart. They break and get all over.

I recently purchased the Cascade Platinum ActionPacs dishwasher detergent and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with its cleaning power. I was skeptical about the claim that it could clean burnt-on messes in just one wash without any pre-washing needed, but to my surprise, it did just that. The premium tough food cleaning formula easily removed all the burnt-on food from my dishes, while the built-in rinse aid and the grease-fighting power of Dawn left my dishes sparkling clean.
