Not Reliable - Stopped working just after warranty
I bought the 40V Black & Decker cordless trimmer because it was lightweight and easy to use. The battery didn't last for long so I purchased a couple of other batteries. One day it just just stopped working! Tried another battery and nothing. Connected the batteries to a B&D Blower they all work. Waste of money.

Useless battery
Have been thru 3 batteries already...they keep a charge for maybe 20 minutes or so of steady trimming...that's it. The battery is only good for maybe half a year. The last battery I got has lasted me all of 3 months and then cuts out at 10 minutes and finally just stopped accepting a charge.
Mov'n on to a new and different piece of equipment.

Absolute garbage piece of equipment. Pathetic tool
what a chunk of trash, charger wont hold more than 20 minutes of run time, the handle is held in place by weak Allen keys that constantly loosen up and cause the handle to split in half and they reinvented the "autowinder" spool for the string. Will be purchasing a 2 stroke gas weedeater soon.

Dead after two years
No response with charged battery. I have taken it apart, replaced the on/off module, cleaned. Still no response. Have no idea why it stopped working, but at this point it is junk.
On the plus side, it worked for 2 years. On the down side, it wasn't used much. I would guess it cost about $20 per use for me.

Cheep plastic parts
I used this trimmer about six or eight times and needed to add new line took off the spool and found the cheep plastic line feed lever was broken so I called B&D they are sending me a new one be trimming again in two weeks...

Did Not Last
Bought this last spring. Battery started to lose charge quicker and quicker. After 3 months of use. It no longer starts at all.

DO NOT BUY!
This is one of the biggest pieces of crap I've ever bought. It worked for maybe ten seconds brand new out of the box, and is apparently dead now. This is likely the last Black & Decker product I'm buying.
