This is my go to product for grass seed
This product is the only grass seed I have used for many years. It is better than the 'water smart' seeds that are available everywhere but I can't seem to find the 'Classic Sun and Shade Mix'. Has it been discontinued? why are sellers not carrying it anymore?

Way too many weeds in this
Bought 40 lb bag Sun and Shade. 3 weeks now. So many weeds starting to grow throughout the entire lawn. Wish I used a different product.

more weeds than lawn
I used this product on an approx. 750 SF area at an old Episcopal church whose grounds are being restored by a group of volunteers. Almost 1/2 of the area we seeded came up in some kind of broad-leaf weed (see below)! It took a lot of hard work to prep the area for reseeding, and we are extremely disappointed in the results.

Works well in questionable soil
Had our backyard re-graded to put in a concrete patio and landscaping and used this seed around the areas we want grass that the bobcat and cement trucks tore up. Seed took about 10 days and it started to germinate and almost 1-2 inches tall in spots. The healthy root structure is helping with soil erosion from rainfall already even with the sandy questionable top soil in my area. Will buy this seed again soon to seed more areas we plan to convert into grass.

Awesome lawn
We love the Scotts sun and shade classic seed. Our lawn is thick and green and weed free. We use this under trees and out in the open of the yard and we have great results regardless of where we seed. Many compliments on the lawn

Terrible product
We put fresh loam, starter fertilizer, lime and Scott’s classic grass seed. We planted on Mother’s Day and have irrigation. The grass is growing in some areas very spotty. Most areas not at all. What a waste of money,,

Disappointed
Applied this as an overseer 11 days ago and not a single new grass shoot yet even in the bare spots covered with straw. Thought I should be seeing something by now.
