Rated 1 out of 5 by from DID NOT STICK! Took 3 hours to mask my whole house and when I was ready to paint, all the tape and masking was already starting to fall off the walls. It wouldn’t stick at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I use FrogTape frequently. It is great for delicate surfaces. I use it in my art work and I have never been disappointed. Like all tape, it will pull off some surface if it left on too long -which I found out when I left it on the closet walls for several months!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked for me! I almost didn't buy this stuff due to the negative reviews, but gave it a shot and it worked just fine. I wanted the ceiling one color and the walls a second color. I painted the ceiling first with two coats of latex. I waited 48 hours, then applied the tape over the freshly painted ceiling. I then trimmed in my latex wall coat right up to the edge of the tape. I let that dry just long enough to apply a second trim coat. As soon as I was done with coat number 2, I removed the tape while the wall paint was still wet and was left with a nice clean line. The tape removed easily and didn't pull down any of the new paint it was adhered to so it worked as it should. The only negative I can find is that I wish the tape was a little more flexible to make it easier to apply to edges that are not perfectly straight, but this is a minor point. I think people that have trouble with this tape aren't using it properly. The key is to remove the tape as soon as possible once you've cut in your edge. Get the job painted and get the tape off ASAP and it will work fine. I'll use this stuff again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrified Recently used Frogtape green on a geo-wall i made for my daughter in her room, was impressed so decided to do a geo-mural in my living room, thankfully nothing ambitiously huge. Removed tape which has also peeled off my base colour and will leave me spending the weekend trying to patch it up otherwise next weekend i shall need to paint the whole wall. I could just cry, a simple decorative piece has ruined my entire wall. I had used the delicate surfaces version too as i had been able to get another pack of the green tape due to the lockdown. Wish I'd just bought a cheap roll of masking tape now, budget, wall and mood for the weekend ruined!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Yellow I usually use the green but I had a delicate area and I used the yellow. Worked awesome. No bleeding and a key is to take the tape off at a 45 degree angle and soon after you finish. Do not wait for it to completely dry

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used FrogTape several times in the past without issue. This time I painted my crown moulding and let it dry for 2 weeks, then I proceeded with taping the crown moulding with FrogTape delicate and multi surface medium adhesion as I ran out of delicate. I painted the walls and the peeled off the tape and guess what? It pulled the paint off of my crown mouldings in patches both where the delicate and medium adhesion were, now I get to spend another 4 days painting just my crown mouldings. A very unimpressed customer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as delicate as it says [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this tape to paint my bathroom it pulled off the ceiling paint. I did a split paint and had no issues on the paint bleed line on fresh paint after being done a few days but then when I came to do the skirting board the satin paint just bleed through the tape and it also pulled off some of the fresh (3weeks old) paint off with it. Overall not what it says could of got 5 rolls of masking tape for price of this to do probably a better job. Maybe it was a faulty roll I'll never find out as won't be buying again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed So upset!! Bought this tape to cut in wall to ceiling emulsion and it removed all the paint immediately I had fixed it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The tape Ripped ALL paint off wall [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spent the extra money to get the really good frog tape for fresh paint. Then STOPPED using the no name stuff that was working fine to try this new high end tape. And I kid you not, this frog tape striped the wall right down the drywall! Adding atleast another days work to the job, I now have to sand and chip the flakes off, possibly fill the sand the holes, prime the drywall and then retape and repaint, all on part of the job that was finished! Super unhappy with this tape, especially considering it's one of the most expensive on the market .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tore my wallpaper I wanted to caulk a join betwwen my wallpaper and the stair trim ,so thought it would be a good idea to use delicate frogtape .Bad idea .Luckily I had to reposition the tape slightly after doing a few inches and it tore a 3ins long strip off the surface of the paper. If it had been applied all down the stairwell, the wall would have had to be redone completely .Had to conceal the tear with matching emulsion.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is crap DO NOT BUY. I painted my walls on Saturday, applied the tape around the top of the walls to paint the ceiling on Tuesday night. Took the tape off today, which is Thursday, and it took all the paint off the top of the wall. Not worth the extra money. Would not purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best art tape! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use hundreds of feet of tape when creating my art work. The delicate surface tape is by far the best tape I’ve come across. I can produce clean edges with no bleeds and mask on top of freshly dried paint as soon as it’s dry, without worrying about peeling it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frog tape is life! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Holds on for dear life when you need it to and when you’re ready to remove it, it comes off smooth without lifting wood fibers! A++ I’ll never use the bluestuff...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product did exactly what I needed it to do [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used FrogTape for Delicate Surface for a decorative project, in which I wanted to paint a fairly intricate pattern on an object (a polymer pumpkin) and have crisp, clean edges. It worked like magic, and I am very pleased with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frog tape yellow for the win!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a project helping to improve a teen center. The results were phenomenal! We created a graphic accident wall and yellow frog tape helped us to create fun and clean lines. Thank you Frog Tape!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely Disappointed - Ruined Kitchen Cabinets I purchased the delicate Frog Tape after it was recommended to me by my local paint store. I used the tape to paint my kitchen, which required applying the tape directly to the cabinets. Even though the delicate tape specifically says it can be used on veneer, it ripped several chunks of the cabinet right off. Extremely frustrated and disappointed - I will now have to spend several hundred dollars replacing the cabinet sides. NOT HAPPY!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed! I purchase the yellow delicate surfaces painters tape because I just freshly painted my walls and was taping off the walls to paint the ceiling after letting the walls dry for several days. This tape would not stick to the walls at all! It would fall off of it's own weight and would barely even stick upon initial application. I am very dissatisfied with this tape and will most likely never buying it again. I wasted my money

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pulled paint AND plaster off ceiling [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We painted our ceilings, waited about a month to paint the walls but still opted for this delicate surface tape. Apparently 3 weeks was not enough as we have several long strips of repair work we need to do on our ceiling. Very disappointed in this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pulled Paint Off Wall Underneath Tape! Wow, I was shocked. I used the FrogTape Delicate Surface because it was going over a freshly painted wall that was already cured for a few days and completely dry to the touch. Low and behold, when I removed the tape after 48 hours, just like you are supposed to (slow and at a 45 degree angle), the blue strip I painted did in fact stay on the wall but the white eggshell paint beneath the tape peeled off! I have the pictures to show it! Now I need to go back and paint all those areas, cutting in to my blue stripe! SAD

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but Green is better for new construction We like the Delicate Surface yellow because it performs just like the green but is a little less aggressive when removing. We found that for new construction the green works better.. Primarily because of our prep where we were unable to remove 100% of the dust from areas being taped off..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delicate Surface Tape IS NOT for wall paper! I'm refreshing my bedroom, took 3 walls of wallpaper off and left one wallpaper wall as a feature. Bought your Delicate Surface Frogtape (yellow) and applied it gently (not much pressure) to the edge of the wallpaper that will meet my new paint. I removed "the test" area of 30 cm done within one minute and guess what... the wallpaper came attached to the tape!! in quite a few areas!! Now I'll have to try to match from used strips of old paper (already in the garbage) the design! and it will never look perfect, just patched. Your product DOES NOT work for wallpaper, (I have photos if you are interested)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m becoming a professional artist thanks to Frogtape delicate. I live in San Fancisco. I’ve been an artist since I was in high school and I’ve bounced from style to style in painting maybe 20 times. My partner of 20 years was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer just over 2 years ago and suddenly I needed to be home a lot more often due to his treatments. While caretaking I started painting in earnest! I had a breakthrough on New Year’s Day 2019! And it envolved frog tape. My new painting style has blown myself and everyone that sees it away. I’m creating geometric designs with frogtape for delicate surfaces. So far I’ve completed 30 paintings and I’ve sold 10 of them. And they keep selling! When people ask how I make these seemingly impossible lines and sharp edges, say it’s made of and from 4 things: artist board, acrylic paint and pensil to direct the delicate placement of Frog Tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product when doing trim work around freshly painted walls Upon moving into a new house we decided to do a little refresh on the paint and also paint the wood trim white to give it a more updated look. I painted the walls first and then started the trim work but quickly found out that the green and blue tape caused some of the new paint to come off when I removed the tape. I thought I would give the delicate surface FrogTape (the yellow one) a shot and I was ecstatic to see that it worked perfectly: there was no bleed through and it pulled off with zero damage to the wall surface. I am now a big fan of FrogTape and I'll 'leap' for it on my next project!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from utter disbelief ok, i am a new home owner, after all these years, and have bought a house, that’s somewhat of a “fixer upper”. i’ve been working on the house for the last 8-9months, every weekend and 4-5-6 hours everyday after work when i get home at 5. so, i’ve reapplies the texture in this main room as you come in the front to an imperfect smooth wall, build wayne’s coating, and spent 2 weeks on the floors. i rented a floor sander for the weekend only to find out if EVERY BIT of the old urethane wasn’t removed, it left white blotchy spots that stood out like sore thumbs once the new finish was applied. so after the floors were finished, i allowed for them to cure for 2 weeks before i layed down “x-board”, thick paper for floor covering, and layed down YOUR DELICATE “frogtape” on all 4 corners to hold it down. i specifically used the “delicate” because of the finish only being 2 weeks old. it’s been 4 DAYS, and i removes the DELICATE FROGTAPE, to find that it COMPLETELY REMOVED ALL THE FINISH UNDERNEATH IT. i spent 2 weeks on my hands and knees doing the floor, and sprayed the finish rather than applicator so that it would look like glass with a blemish. now i have these areas, every area that had delicate frogtape, where it’s taken it down to bare wood. there is now “touch up” that will work without showing or showing the difference in sheen and/or application methods. we had to clear the house and stay in a motel the day i sprayed, and now i’m left with my only option being to sand the areas and RE SPRAY. i am so disappointed and upset about what this has caused and is going to take to put back to its previous state. i would have NEVER thought your product would do such a thing, that is why i specifically used your delicates frog tape over 3m’s blue painters tape, or their delicate blue. words can’t explain how this has all my whole experience just a nightmare because of your product. i DO NOT understand WHY it would pull ALL of the finish from the floor. i do not have all the $ in the world, and all that i did & have been able to save for this project has been used and i don’t know where or how long it will take to save up enough to finish these floors again. i am hoping for a response from someone in the company who can possibly do something for me here or help out in some way, please. mike zdobnikov

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heart broken Used the low adhesion tape to do a mural wall in my unborn sons bedroom. I spent days cleaning, painting and taping following the recommendations diligently all for the tape to peal the bottom layer of paint off despite being very gentel during removal. Heavily pregnant and now going to have to redecorate again and as you can understand with a little one on the way it's an expense I can't afford without considering the physical struggle. Disappointed with frogtape to say the least.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More size choices Have you ever considered making your tape products in larger sizes for the “crafters”? I have used your tape with my Cricut to cut shapes and letters for painted craft would make the task much easier if Frog Tape would come in sheets.....instead of just on a roll.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tape worked PERFECTLY! After reading some of these reviews I was nervous to use the yellow tape. I painted my ugly linoleum kitchen floor with 2 coats of white porch paint and only let it dry for 24 hrs before taping off for a gray striped pattern. Did 2 coats of the gray porch paint in the stripes and pulled up the tape before the 2nd coat dried. It was beautiful! Straight crisp lines with ZERO paint coming up or leaking under. Loved this product. I will use it again. Its perfect for when you don't have time to wait for paint to cure before taping off for the next color. Thank you!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hours of work wasted The thought is nice but the reality is very different, the new paint version is rubbish, when you peel it off it takes the paint with it no matter how careful you are. What good is a straight line with half the paint missing!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Bought the delicate frog tape to edge where my wall meets the ceiling. The ceiling was painted 3 weeks ago and i wanted to be sure there would be no damage when the tape was removed. When i removed the tape, strips 12 inches long of ceiling tape were removed along with the joint plaster. I now have to repair the ceiling as well as re edge the walls.
