Tring head needs to be recalled and redesigned
I was able to use trimmer (dcst972x1) long enough to use up about half the length of factory string. Then, suddenly head released all of the string. Now, I restring spool only to have it sling all of the string out as soon as I pull the trigger. Very frustrating to have so much money tied up into something I can't even use!

Rocket science string feed!
A completely ridiculous system to refill the spool. It only worked with the factory spool, I have not been able to get the rather expensive DeWalt string to feed properly. Very, vey disappointed!!!

Terrible String Head
After about half a season's worth of light use, trimmer head is worn out making the trimmer unusable. Spent the extra $'s for the 60v model, not happy with purchase, can't even find replacement parts. Not the quality I have come to expect from Dewalt.

Great trimmer with a terrible head!
The trimmer works great but the spool cover was completely worn out after the first use. Definitely not the durability I have come to expect from Dewalt.

Poor string head
Bought this new in the spring and have several Dewalt tools. Third time using it the string head exploded when trying to tap on the ground and feed string. I have no idea where the spring went so I took to dealership for repair. They installed a new head but I'm skeptical. My guess is the plastic "ears" that hold it together aren't stout enough and release just enough to let it blow apart. Thankful for a trustworthy dealership that stands behind products!

Horrible trimmer
String either comes out to fast or wraps itself around the head. I tried every size string there is and nothing helped

A must have!
Hey everyone! I would rate it a 4/5
Pros:
•Powerful
•Battery was sufficient for my size property. (About 3/4 of an acre)
•Ripped through edges and redefined garden beds like a champ
•No mixing gas
•Able to get attachments
Cons:
•Awkward to hold and control (Could be my inexperience with the edger, lol)
•Guard kept getting caught on grass.
Overall would recommend! Pro's outweighs the cons.
