Rated 5 out of 5 by keerkeer from "Bounty Select-A-Size Paper Towels, HUGE Roll - Question , comparison, current products I just have to say that I am normally extremely thrifty, but when I discovered "Bounty Select-A-Size Paper Towels, HUGE Roll" I honestly didn't look at the price when buying it. I was so pleased with the performance, nothing else would do. Now I am seeing Double and Triple rolls, and I would just like to know the official difference , why the product was changed, and also to confirm is HUGE no longer being produced? A basic comparison of Huge vs current logical replacement products would be helpful including information as a consumer one would find helpful. also i see some other products, like SUPER roll or Family - which looks to be current. Are there any other Select a size comparable products to HUGE? if you could include those in the comparison that would be helpful. Finally one last question - what is quick size? how is it different than select a size? Thanks so much. so happy to have found this site with some customer support so I can make better consumer decisions and the information will be available for others to make informed PAPER TOWEL DECISIONS! =) thanks again

Rated 5 out of 5 by dolo62 from Great absorbency I love to buy Bounty. I use paper towels like drinking water--a lot!! The one thing a friend and I were going back and forth about was; the rolls are advertised as regular,...large. The cardboard rolls have gotten larger while the paper towels are basically the same. I think the cardboard rolls are the same, (big). It just seems the towels are wrapped a little looser. (Just like my friend :) , It doesn't matter, I still love Bounty. It is hard trying to buy the size I need. I like the 15 large rolls. I use them from pouring coffee to cleaning everything else. Good job. Out of more than 20 years, I've only gotten 3 bad rolls. They just fell apart when they hit water.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ms Ronda from Change it back!! Please!! Trying very hard not to end my 30+ years of using Bounty. I even recite the commercial while using, "rinse and re-use" and "quicker picker upper". Later, I find myself sprinkling the water on the paper instead of fully wetting because they now break apart more easily when wet. Totally shameful! Bring back the old GOOD quality please!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by amach from Trap & Lock is Bait & Switch I have used only Bounty paper towels for about 15 years. The *new* trap & lock technology is terrible. This is not a defect, this was done on purpose to cut costs and make a bigger profit. The towels feel less absorbent and are a tad thinner. When I wet the paper towel it shrinks down into a tissue-like texture and barely picks up a spill. I hope the company listens to its customers. Bring back the trusted, quicker, picker upper!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kathy M from What happened to the quality? For years I’ve chosen Bounty over other brands such as Brawny because of the good quality. The last package of Bounty I bought was noticeably lower quality…thin and not as strong. Disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Awlaz from Bring back the good stuff! as with everybody else, I too noticed the quality took a steep decline after my last purchase a few weeks ago. they rip apart in half and as previously stated, are shorter than the regular sheets! might be the best sales tactic ever though; use these paper towels to cover your food and you either need to use 3 sheets instead of 2 to cover a plate, or with the areas now left uncovered by using 2 sheets you can then use more sheets to clean the microwave! way to ruin a good thing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by IrisB from Change in Quality. I have been a loyal Bounty customer for decades. Unfortunately, that may change. There is a new type of Bounty in town with a larger weave. It feels rough, compared to the older Bounty sheets. I hope this changes, or I will have to change brands. :-(

Rated 1 out of 5 by kaia from just not the same :( my family has used bounty ever since I can remember... my mom always bought and since I have always as well. its been the best and would never buy anything else... until now unfortunately. everything has changed about it. quality isn't even half to what it used to be... rough and scratchy, feels cheap. AND the size is smaller!! I just so happen to have an old sheet and the new ones are at least an inch smaller in size. its not like the price has gone down in any of these changes so to me- just not worth it. such a bummer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Consumer2 from Decline in quality I’ve been loyal to Bounty towels for many years but the latest change has significantly declined the quality. It makes it difficult to justify paying the higher the cost over store brands.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Elle from Quality decline I have used Bounty paper towels exclusively for 15 years because they were always the softest and most absorbent. The new package we purchased is rough, doesn't tear cleanly, has a different texture, and is half as absorbent. Unfortunately I will be switching to another brand until Bounty is back to what it used to be. Very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Heather C from No longer a good value I recall buying this product back in 2012. I scrutinized every brand and variation looking for the best value: a 2-ply paper towel with the highest square footage. What I proudly settled on: a Bounty 2-pack, labeled, "2 Double Plus rolls = 5 Regular rolls". ...it was 176.9 square feet total and had 193 sheets per roll. Fast forward to 2021. The got the same product, labelled, "2 Huge rolls = 5 Regular rolls. ...it s 110 square feet total and has 123 sheets per roll. I recently took the older one out of storage and am now looking at them both, side-by-side, the old and the new. Bounty, what are you trying to pull here?? It looks like I'll need to find a new go-to paper towel brand

Rated 1 out of 5 by msmw from Why So Rough and Scratchy? What has happened to Bounty? I noticed the paper towels started to feel really rough and scratchy at some point during the pandemic. I understand there was a shortage and I understand if corners had to be cut at first in order to ramp up supply. It was so weird because some batches would be nice and soft and other batches would be rough and scratchy. But now? They’re ALWAYS rough and scratchy and I don’t understand why. Store brand paper towels are now noticeably softer than Bounty! What happened?

Rated 5 out of 5 by NeeNee1 from Perfect Every Time I've been purchasing the Bounty select a size sheets since they started selling them. Now I'm reading the reviews on this page and wonder what am I getting that's different from what others are purchasing. I wonder because I LOVE Bounty because of its consistency. It has never changed. PLEASE do NOT change what you're doing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SAS_Gal_No_More from New Sizing is too large! I've used Bounty's Select-A-Size since when they first became available. Unfortunately, I will have to revert back to standard size sheets. The new sizing is too large and is close to a normal sized paper towel, at least, from what I remember of them. When I have a small spill to clean up, the half sheet was perfect for those smaller spills. I've used two of the smaller sheets together to clean and maintain my butcher block counter tops for years. Two of these larger-sized selectable sheets are just too much! Seems like I need to have larger spills now to make the selectable size work. I can no longer use two of the smaller size to cover something in the microwave; it is just too large and an extreme waste of paper. Sorry Bounty, but this Select-A-Size gal is going to have to look for a different option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by 2wheels from Select A Size Name Change Love the absorbancy of Bounty towels but they need to change the name of the Select A Size to Guess The Size! As long as they've been making towels you'd think they'd have the ability to make the perforations large enough to allow the towels to tear easily and consistently every time. Maybe they're just too cheap to replace the cutting blades that make the perforations and they're calling it a cost savings. Either get your quality control up to speed or rename the towels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SmartConsumer from Sizing is purposefully confusing Bounty needs to stop the sizing bs. If they were a leader in the industry, they would strive to be transparent. At this point, they are not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by klakmd from tester Some time during this pandemic year, Bounty quality (when I could find it on the shelves in NYC area) has gotten so poor that I won't buy it again until I can be assured it is back to normal. It makes no sense to pay premium prices for a product that is almost unrecognizable now. The texture is hard and harsh (not even close to the soft feel I am used to), it is thin, absorbency is much reduced. One clear indicator of a change in manufacture is that the embossing pattern is different than before, and the newer embossing also varies,. Also, some tubes are soft and easily squashed. And some rolls seem to leave a strange white residue on hands or fabric, particularly when the double layers separate.

A month or or two ago I called the Bounty support number at P&G and the support person seemed to be totally unaware of the hundreds (certainly more like thousands) of complaints about recent Bounty quality decline out there online. If P&G does not care enough about their Q&A, brand quality, and reputation to keep up with comments and complaints out there, and take complaints seriously, they should be ashamed. Those that care enough to complain speak for many hundreds or thousands more that don't take the time to write or call. We want our old, dependable, comfortable, helpful Bounty back (*not* speaking about B Essentials). Btw, if these issues are related to pandemic or other manufacturing, supply, materials problems, we out here will understand that, but we want the issues acknowledged, explained, and a timeline for return to normalcy. Just don't tell us we don't know our own, real experiences with your product. We know the changes we see, feel, experience are real. Don't insult us by insisting nothing has changed. We know, see, feel that it has.

Rated 5 out of 5 by furryalfredo from Great product I dropped an enormous berry shake in my kitchen. Somehow when it dropped; it bounced. This bounce caused splattering 10 feet high; nearly to the kitchen ceiling. A disgusting purple mess covered every cupboard, every appliance, and the entire floor. My whole kitchen was coated in purple shake splatter. It.was.a.nightmare!! I used the Bounty Advanced to pick up the entire mess. Wow these paper towels are amazing. They are super absorbent and thick. I thought I would have to use two full rolls to pick this mess up, but it didn’t take nearly as many as I thought. I still have a full roll remaining. They just worked wonderfully. Thanks for making a great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sallyks from Perforated sheets do not tear cleanly I bought a multipack of the tear a sheet paper towels. Half the rolls had sheets that tore properly at the perforations, and half the rolls did not. Quality control seems to be lacking. Time for Six Sigma.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bethbounce from What would I do without you. Two sheets. Dry dishes, shine glasses, wipe sink and taps. Spray kitchen surfaces and wipe, rinse towels squeeze dry. Wipe rubbish bin then throw away. No dirty dish towels, no germ filled dish cloths. So very versatile, like I said what would I do without you now. Napkins, wrap fish to dry off so many uses. Even take some on holiday with us.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LO0319 from Redesign? You have made your paper towels really rough to the touch. I used to buy this brand all the time because it felt like cloth - now I will be looking for a new product because these towels are just too rough to the touch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Motorman from fading quality I've been using Bounty exclusively for years as the benchmark for paper towels. But lately they seem to have deteriorated in quality. They have noticeably less absorbency and strength, and they don't tear off cleanly anymore. Not sure why, but this decline in product performance makes me want to shop around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DefBaby from Not so quick to "pick up" The paper towels are not as absorbent as they once were. "Quicker Picker Upper" no longer applies. Why is this? Bring back the absorbency! (Viva is better.) They ARE strong, but "quicker picker upper" is so not true.

Rated 4 out of 5 by wishfullthinker from Paper towels feel different I'm so glad to come here and find out that the rougher feel isn't just in my imagination. At first, I thought it might be because my hands were dry, but that's not it. The "cells" in the paper seem deeper, and the paper is less soft and fluffy. I've been a loyal Bounty buyer for more than 20 years, and the paper towels have never felt like this. Perhaps it has to do with the Covid-related shortage?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ellen29936 from Usually the best paper towel We've been buying select-a-size Bounty paper towels for year. Love the usability. But perforation quality has recently (2021) gone down, making the select size option almost worthless as it doesn't tear correctly. However, that will not stop us from being loyal customers.
