Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok Everything is great, except volume is very low. They cancel out noise well. It’s a struggle to hear the music though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from broken micro usb port the micro usb port broke off after the warranty period expired plugging the cable in was always tight so it finally gave out

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Headphones, but poor longevity I bought these a little over a year ago (outside of the warranty period). I really enjoyed them, but the charging port broke which makes the Bluetooth very ineffective. I opened them up today to see if I could just re-secure the port, but it had broken off the board. They should have secured it a lot better or provided some additional support so it wouldn't brake off. The price was pretty high for a pair of non Bluetooth ear protectors which is what this ended up being.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wonky headphones I had bought this item about 3 months ago and the bluetooth has been extremely wonky and if i move the headphones a little they either dont play audio anymore or the audio repeats until the headphones turn off. This may be due to a manufacturing error or it might have been damaged when i bought this item. I am very disappointed by this as the headphones are relatively new and they dont last very long.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs improvement. I really like these headphones but I have had 2 pair and the charging port on the headphones breaks off after using them for awhile and you are unable to charge them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from loved them until I didn't Purchased roughly 1 yr ago and no longer have the receipt. Was able to use bluetooth for maybe 3 months and then it stopped connecting. AM/FM works good but can certainly use a better antennae. This the second pair I bought with similar results, ie poor reception, first pair didn't have bluetooth

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless for AM anywhere except the Americas In the the Americas AM stations are 10 KHz apart. The rest of the world spaces them 9 KHz apart. As this headset uses a predefined 10 KHz spacing you can't tune in AM stations in the rest of the world. I live in Australia, so these are going to be returned. Pity -the build quality looks good. 3M needs to either make a 9KHz gapped version, or place a warning on the box -"Only for use in North, Central and South America"

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They work but not well I returned the first set for poor sound quality and overall quality as well. The station tuning button is too easily disturbed when one is actually working and moving around when it rubs on a collar or something else. I'm hard of hearing and the lady's voice to announce settings is muffled. The one that announces the station setting is pretty good and the decibel limit is too low. I now only use it when I need a quick hearing protection and use earplugs for longer more serious work. Bluetooth is a joke with the volume limit. These are the 3rd work tunes I have purchased over the last 20+ years and probably the last unless they are improved.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from intermittent shutoff I purchesed the headphones one year ago, stored for the winter, broke out this spring and they are shutting off with the movement of my head or when I touch the headphones at any time?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from worked great They work great, but where do I find a replacement cover for the charger port?
Date published: 2022-04-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from No issues after 2 years of use I've had mine since 2020, They are about the best bluetooth headset I've owned. Used a lot, near constant for about 18 months still working as they did back then. Keep them charged and don't pull on the wire in the headband and they're great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 3M should be ashamed The music keeps cutting in and out all yhr time if your moving around. You have to keep your phone on the right side of your body for the best connection and even then it'll cut in and out if you bend down. The death of my pair happened when I went to plus in the USB into the muff and I heard something pop out anrattle around. Nowthey won't charge. I opened them up and the USB port is made to fail. The only thing holdingthe inner connector on is the solder itself. It is most likely planned obsolescence. Call Quality was fair but sometimes the caller couldn't hear me well. Also, the button on the side will fail to register with the phone to either stop an alarm or pause or skip. Very poor bluetooth radio. The name 3M used to mean quality, and if they manufactured this in house, they should be ashamed of themselves. I guess their brand has gone the way that Craftsman has gone to squeezing every dollar out of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't work at all Both the Bluetooth and using a cable don't work. Total garbage. Don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These are not that good They are very heavy, the sound quality is very poor, the volume is low, need to use a booster app which lessens the already poor sound quality. Very unimpressed with this product

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great, but needs redesign. These headphones work very well, but need a swivel head band to wear a hat while using.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sadlyl doesn't work! i bought these new this week at my local builder's supply store, (and was surprised that there were no instructions in the box, but went online and downloaded them from this site) I charged them until the flashing blue light turned solid. Turned them on, pressed the button twice, heard 'bluetooth pairing on', and then 'bluetooth connected'. They now show up in the Bluetooth panel of my pc as 'Connected'. But the LED on the right cup remains Off, and I have no audio in the headcups. I will be returning them for a refund.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great until they're not Like other reviews, mine had the wires fray at the ear cups. I've had for 14 months, so now they're out of warranty of course. They were also a gift so I definitely don't have the receipt anyway. A problem as common as this should be fixed/replaced without a receipt and regardless of the length of time owned. I didn't read all the reviews but the ones I did read all frayed between 12 and 18 months. So, out of the warranty period anyway. I did love these. They worked and sounded great. But if I'm going to have to be buying a new pair every 14 months, I think I'll just grab another brand that may last longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worked well until they stay on for 6 seconds I was happy with them for a year even though the battery had problems. Got replacement battery--it was defective on arrival. Now they stay on for 6 seconds and then go silent, not off, the blue power light is still on. There is no sound-zero! When I turn them off, I do hear 'power off.' The blue stays on till I power down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from USB input fell inside, now useless I received these as a Christmas present just over a year ago from my brother inlaw and they worked great. I'm a woodworker so I work in a noisy workshop. I love to listen to podcasts while I work, while wearing other safetly gear (glasses/mask/etc).- these headphones were perfect and comfortable for long hours. But just today I went to charge them as I always do and the micro USB jack in the headphones popped inside and is now rattling around inside with no way to extract it. There doesn't seem to be a way to open, and not sure I could reconnect even if I could gain access. It's a bummer that 1 year of recharging has caused the jack/s adhesive to lose strength and fail.... its a really simple and necessary component/function... The warranty only seems to last a year, so it looks like I'm 1 month out of luck. Not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! I've had a pair of these for over 2 years now and where them all the time when I'm on the tractor, mowing, cutting firewood, running log splitter or running any loud equipment. I've always been concern about the two wires hanging off of each muff but have managed not to damage them. I've had tree limbs to efficiently remove them from my head while mowing and they survived. I only charge them when they are low and and have had no issues with them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked great for a year I was super happy with it for about a year, then the wire frayed where it enters the earpiece. The warrantee only lasts for a year, so I'm just out of luck. I really expected this to last longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved them! No longer hold charge Loved them. Second set. Only charge when completely dead. One year on this pair now do not hold charge. Same thing happened to first pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant, while they lasted. Excellent sound, very comfortable, great functionality! So we bought two more pairs for my father and for my brother. Sadly, within 10 months of use; the right speaker on one pair dropped significantly in volume. Then all three pairs failed completely, one by one. We were gutted! I hope you can do something about this issue. I would expect a product like this to last significantly longer than they did.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does the job (protect ears & tunes) until it stops Did exactly what was needed early on. Protected my hearing and allowed us to listen to tunes and pods while using cab-less lawn tractor and weed trimmer and blower. Stopped charging after a while and now just boring half-a$$ed hearing protection.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wiring flaw going into ear muff These are actually a great product when they work well, but this is the 2nd pair that I have gotten that developed this problem. The wiring at the grommet that goes into the left side ear muff is extremely weak and will start to break with normal wear. The wiring just bends at that point and will just one day stay become intermittent and then finally just fail. I called customer service August 24th 2021 (Case # 26193720) and was sent a new pair. This pair is now the ones that are failing. I have also noticed that my batter when fully charged will only identify as being at medium charge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major Flaw in Flimsy USB connection Worked great for a year, then the flimsy Micro-USB connection came loose and can no longer charge the headphones. From looking online, it appears that this is a widespread problem. If these headphones would have USB-C and a sturdier connection, they would be a great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice headset, until you can't charge anymore. Very nice sounding headset and very easy to use. It would be nice if the volume got a little louder as well. I thought the quality was great until charging port pushed into the plastic housing and it is now impossible to charge. I am sure there is an easy way to fix it, but I cant figure out how to get it apart. From what I read, It is common problem. Hopefully 3M fixes this problem on future models.
Date published: 2021-12-02
Rated 2 out of 5 by from great with fatal flaws i've owned two of these now. first was great until the low-quality micro-usb charging port broke. the second wasn't as good (they increased the long-press duration on the single button to what feels like half a minute) and then the fragile little wire connecting the two muffs broke. i suppose it's still under warranty but it's frustrating. it's a shame, too -- before all this i recommended these to probably a dozen people. if they put the wire in a simple hinged housing like on any pair of cheap headphones and upgraded the charging port to usb-c, these would be the best headphones for the money anywhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from USB Charging port fails after a while It is a very good product until charging port pulls into the plastic housing and it becomes impossible to charge it again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to unscrew the components and fix the issue. It is common problem and most users report the same issue in the reviews. I hope 3M fixes this design problem. Otherwise, it is a good headphone with good noise reduction.
