Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of money I bought the sprayer not quite a year ago. Used it to paint one bedroom and it actually worked pretty well but needs cleaning constantly. Started second bedroom and motor is giving out and sounding like a grinder. I guess you get what you pay for...don't pay for this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked like a charm The only experience I had was with a "way old" Wagner that made a lot of noise and somewhat of a pain. Well let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised with the Wagner 790 that I purchased this morning to paint a steel end dump trailer with an oil base automotive paint. That thing performed beautifully. I would estimate I covered 130 square feet of area with lots of nooks and crannies. Used less than a gallon of paint. I love the new venturi design. It really puts out a good pattern that's easy to control. I primarily bought it to paint my dump trailer, but I'll definitely be using it for other projects.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible sprayer I received this sprayer as a Christmas present and only used once to spray paint a fence. After about the fourth time of refilling the container the sprayer sounded like a grinder and started to smoke. Unfortunately for me it was over a year old and whatever warranty it had was over. So I took it apart thinking I might be able to fix it if it were broken or used up it’s brushes. Well the motor is a sealed unit and there is no way of fixing it. Well there goes $150 and there is no way to fix it. I guess I’ll be buying another different brand sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Performance I bought this to replace an Old Wagner Sprayer that I borrowed from my Dad, that of course failed after years and years of Service! The Performance was Excellent and made painting our 12' x 16' Deck including rails and steps a lot less time consuming. I suggest that you thoroughly Clean the Gun out after every use, especially with a quick setting paint such as a Water Based Latex! Pay very close attention on how the unit goes back together as well, making sure all pieces are snug and secure, but not too tight. If asked I will definitely tell my family & friends that this Sprayer is the one to buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great with Ben Moore Advance! I bought this sprayer to refinish 35 painted cabinet faces in a large kitchen remodel. I already owned an HVLP sprayer that I was not happy with from another manufacturer. My intent was to use the Ben Moore water based Advance enamel, a product that I have had very good luck with in this type of project. Before unpacking my new sprayer I checked in with the help line at both Ben Moore and at Wagner. Ben Moore advised only to thin if absolutely necessary with water and then no more than 8 ounces per gallon. Wagner advised to set the blower up to full speed at 8. I then set out on my project. After a bit of trial and error I would like to share what I learned and how I obtained very good results with both the sprayer and the paint product. I fully diluted the paint with water as advised by Ben Moore and set the sprayer as advised by Wagner. I did all of my spraying with the door faces horizontal to avoid sagging. First of all, if you have never sprayed before you need to follow the instructions in the Wagner instructions about moving the sprayer evenly across the work. There are a couple of additional things that you need to consider. You need to start the sprayer off the work until the blower is up to speed otherwise the first spray out the sprayer spatters because the air is not up to the proper pressure. You can actually see this when you first hit the trigger. Keep the trigger down as you pass the sprayer back and forth across the work and you will avoid most spatters. Next, since the sprayer is only putting out a fine mist of paint you need to move the sprayer very slowly across the work in order to build up enough paint so that it levels as it dries. In the case of the Advance paint it means putting on a bunch of paint and you will be rewarded with a very smooth surface when it dries. It will not look smooth at first, actually a little bad, but give it forty five minutes to dry and the finish comes out very nice. Also note that I used the fine finish tip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small Jobs Use I bought this two years ago to paint my fence and did a great job. 150' x 2 sides x 6' high. I used it for two coats. The down sides. 1. Based on the description "suitable for large fence" I bought it. I had to constantly stop and refill the container. 2. The cleanup takes a long time, especially around the nozzle area

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great muti tasking paint sprayer We bought this paint sprayer for use with re staining concrete water fountains at our Nursery garden center. Twenty-four fountains later and still operates like new. Great for painting fences, stucco walls. Best thing about this kit is the two spray heads. The smaller size is great for smaller painting with finer nozzle control, while the larger head paints large surfaces quickly. Easy to clean and stores neatly in its heavy duty plastic case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this thing! Becoming a homeowner brought on a ton of new projects, many of which required painting. I got this with the hope of painting 38 cabinet doors fairly quickly. (Did them all in about 1hr total touch time) A few things stood out. 1. It's surprisingly simple to use. A chart is provided to help navigate different settings for different materials. Assembly is a breeze. Cleaning is much less obnoxious than straining brushes and rollers. 2. The coverage is fantastic. Painting the cabinets with one coat only used up about 1qt. 3. After spraying the paint appeared to slightly orange peel, but it dried perfectly smooth. I'd read a few reviews about the orange peel, but I didn't experience it. 4. The only real knock I have is that the front end seems to get really warm, which makes me feel like I may be overdoing it. All in all, love the gun and would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from spraying vinyl siding Did the first coat. was pretty impressed. Started the second coat about 40 minutes later. Wasn't spraying like it was before. Soaked the nozzle pieces in a bucket of soapy hot water. Gave them a little scrub, sprayed some hot soapy water thru the device and it was working good as new again. I'm very satisfied with this product. Just have to keep it clean. Not let the paint dry and its a good device.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbine failed after one use. The nozzle of the detail attachment allowed paint to trickle back into the motor assembly; once this was noticed the nozzle was tightened. Sadly the turbine failed after 20 seconds the next time I took the sprayer out to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I bought this sprayer in November 2016 for some projects that i have to do his spring/summer. During the 4th use of my sprayer, (the second time for the detail head), the nozzle repeatedly clogged I assumed to hot weather. I finished for the day and THOROUGHLY cleaned the unit. The next day the sprayer would not pick up paint. Only after I played with the sprayer nozzle for several minutes would it give me a very splotchy pattern. I quit with the sprayer for the day and used a roller where i could. Again I THOROUGHLY cleaned the unit. The next day it would not pick up paint no matter what I did. I promptly went to the home goods store in my town and bought a quality airless sprayer. I will never own another Wagner!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cabinets look Terrible, having to redo! Purchased my Flexio to paint kitchen cabinets as the package and product information stated this machine could handle such task. The cabinets look terrible. Paint did not apply or dry smooth. Looks like laminate that got wet. Now I get to sand off the terrible finish and do again. Best of all, retailer won't take it back because it's been used. Perfect!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Diappointed Had purchase the 590 back in 2014, to spray a large deck. Was satisfied at the time. Summer of 2017, started to spray the house and the turbine/blower stops. I would think that this product should have a longer life then approx. 4 hours of use. This item was only take out of it's case 3 times since new. I have to say that overall this was easy to use and clean. I always strained the paint & stain used, and the spray pattern was good. Now I am forced to purchase a new sprayer. Although this this sprayer is not overly expensive, I guess you get what pay for. Just disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didnt read enough reviews I purchased this gun Sunday 6/11/2017 and tried it out because i needed to paint my siding and it had good reviews... should have read more of the bad ones because now the front of my house looks like stucco. Sprayer has an inconsistent pattern and sputters quite a bit on mid grade acrylic exterior paint. i was recommended by a painter friend to run water through it to see if maybe the paint was too thick. and the water came out better but still sputtery and inconsistent so i tried changing settings and not setting ever helped. the manual says to use higher settings for thicker material and so i was on 8 speed and going up but nothing helped, it just slung paint like it was spitting it out it was not the fine mist i was hoping for. Not my first rodeo with paint sprayers but my last with Wagner products

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as advertised I bought this on may 6, 2017 with the intention of treating my ceder fence around my pool. the sprayer was easy to set up and use. clean-up was simple. The instruction manual is easily understood. I discovered quickly that I only had to use the lowest flow setting to get the amount of flow that I desired.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inconsistent, Messy, Inconvenient, and Wastes Paint I purchased the 590 with the intent of achieving a fine spray finish on custom cabinets I built for my home office. But, after perfecting many miter cuts and sanding my cabinets to perfection the 590 ruined my cabinet finish. I read the instructions, purchased compatible paint, adjusted the flow and volume, and practiced on cardboard but halfway through the first coat it started spraying globs of paint, which I had to go back over with a fine roller. Also, I had to strip down and clean the gun between coats, which is very messy and time consuming. I attempted the final coat and again halfway thru it started to spray globs of paint. My purpose for using the 590 was to achieve a fine spray finish, but I wound up having to use a roller anyway and achieved your typical finish. This product might be good for an outdoor project where you are only trying to slop on paint, but I would not recommend it for a professional finish. I would save yourself time and money and just use a good old roller and pan. In summary, the 590 as a complete waste of time and money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good sprayer but requires fair amount of on-the-job maintenance Had to re-stain fairly large deck with overhead trellis -- LOTS of 1x1s on the overhead trellis -- and figured a sprayer was only way to go so I took the plunge and bought a Flexio 590, my first paint sprayer. Stain was a latex based "solid stain" that's pretty thick. Read the manual before starting, used iSpray nozzle with pressure and material flow settings as specified in manual and started out on the practice template provided. Soon had globs of paint spitting all over and paint leaking out of nozzle even when I released trigger. Figured I had bought a piece of junk and went to clean it before returning it. Found that locking nut was not tight and thought that might have been cause of my problems. So thoroughly cleaned it all up, made sure all was tight and tried it again. This time it worked as advertised, but had to play around with pressure and flow settings -- finally going with high pressure and low material flow settings. Next problem was that nozzle would clog after just 1 - 2 fillings of plastic paint reservoir, and once the nozzle was clogged the only way to fix/prevent spitting and globbing of paint spray was to remove and clean the nozzle and to do that every time I refilled the paint container. I became pretty proficient at removing, cleaning and reinstalling the nozzle after doing it about 20 times, but there must be a better way! Overall, the 590 certainly saved me a ton of time vs a brush/roller/pad, even with constant cleaning of nozzle, but it was more than a little frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this sprayer So far I love this sprayer. There are definitely some things to learn. I had a lot of splatter at first and paint everywhere. You will want to always keep a wet cloth to wipe the nozzle especially painting on a hot day. The nozzle clumps quickly.. Also , as I read from others, thin the paint if you want a smooth finish. I found 5-10% works well with exterior latex. I was cursing my first cleanup as it took nearly 45 minutes. My second cleanup was 15 minutes. I found warm soapy water and throw everything in a bucket disassembled. Also clean all the paint off the pickup tube and the cup and run a full cup of clean water through the gun. I have sprayed over 1000 ft trim and dozens of doors and lattice. Saved me days of painting in only a few hours. Can't wait to actually spray a room. I've used other sprayers and so far this is the best. It would be nice if parts were more easily located. Mine did come with some spare parts. Would have been nice if there were some spare filters. I will be ordering a bunch of spares as I can imagine they would get plugged quickly indoors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the sprayer! Worked really well and was light weight and very quiet. We used the Wagner sprayer to do our outdoor metal furniture. We are "beginners", so we read the instructions, but more importantly, we watched the Wagner and YouTube videos. The videos really helped with set up and clean up. We followed the directions and had no problems. I was amazed at how light weight it was and happy that it was so much quieter than the old one that I had years ago. I can't wait for another project to use it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exceeded my highest expectations! I have owned many Wagner products of the decades and had from decent to great performance. This Flexio 590 is by far the most amazing paint sprayer I have ever used! This has many more really valuable features the 570 does not have. Buy the 590 for sure. In the past few weeks I have created painting projects so I could use this sprayer. It if flassless in it's performance. I even used the smaller detail union on some inside cabinets and I was blown away at the quality of the job. Very little overspray. I am impressed. Cleanup is usalluy the worst part of painting with a sprayer but not so with this Wagner 590. warm water and Krud Kutter worked like a champ and I was done in mere minutes. Buy this with confident...and it does doesn't vibrate and make that awful noise the buzzer sprayers make. This pays for itself in very few painting jobs. I cannot say enough good things about it. I know you will love it. I am 61 year old avid do-it yourselfer...and the brush and roller I just parted company for good! Enjoy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product was reasonable Overall I would never buy another one as they don't support their products. I'm in need of some replacement parts and went where I bought it. Product is not supported at all. The salespeople don't care, aren't knowledgeable on them . Has left me very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY, POOR PRODUCT This sprayer does not work longer than fifteen minutes. It works great, and then it starts to splatter everywhere. At this point you have to get a roller to smooth everything out, take 10-15 minutes to clean out the entire nozzle assembly, reassemble, and then you can spray again for about another fifteen minutes. The longer you use it, the less time you will have to spray before it splatters everywhere. I had to stop at some point on every wall of the bedroom I was painting. There are multiple other reviews and YouTube videos saying this exact thing, I wish I would have listened. And yes, I started the blower first and let it continue to blow after spraying, yes everything was assembled correctly, yes it was set to the right amount of air and material, yes I was using quality paint from SW, yes I cleaned the nozzle tip EVERY time I stopped spraying. Bottom line, there is a serious design flaw to this product. This is possibly the worst home improvement tool I have ever purchased.......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really works I have owned one other Wagner sprayer years ago. It just would not spray latex paint so I sent it back and gave up on trying to spray latex paint. Fast forward many years and now I find this in Home Depot. After much soul searching (it ain't cheap) I decided to once again jump in and get my feet wet. Well let me just say I am truly glad that I did. I am becoming a grandfather for the first time at the age of 68 and building the crib. As anybody will tell you old farts don't like to do two things. That's sand and use a brush to paint, with the exception of one of them artists. Bottom line is if you have a painting project, don't like to brush on the paint, are 68 years old or older, wake up in the morning, still mow your own yard, still work on your own car, still keep up your own house, been married for 46 years or more, drive a concrete truck but hate it because they don't call you in to work very much anymore, this is the sprayer for you. You can still buy one even if you don't meet all my criteria you won't regret it.
