Rated 3 out of 5 by JoeU from Doesn't spread certain products on low settings I tried spreading Scott's SummerGuard Lawn Food which says to spread at 4 1/2 and nothing was coming out. I'm guessing the granules were too large for the opening at that setting, so the spreader must be out of spec. I ended up returning the remaining bags of SummerGuard and bought another fertilizer instead. Had the exact same issue spreading Ironite.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BenSD from Broke after just 1 year Edgeguard quit working with the lever. Teeth/gears on edgeguard keep popping out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tools4me from Junk This spreader is a piece of junk. When I tried to use the edge guard nothing would come out. Then if I switched back to full the gate would not open. Plus it is hard to find the spreader settings for this spreader.

Rated 1 out of 5 by FrustratedInc from Rarely used spreader has defective Edge guard I bought this about a year ago and haven't used it much at all; until two weeks ago. The edge guard does not retract when pulling the lever back. I have to manually try to push it back (which isn't very smooth). I did clean the unit after the first use. I'm quite a bit disappointed as I had paid for a premium product and reasonably expected a premium (even working) quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by John 8605 from Dissatisfied in Michigan I bought this product yesterday and used it today and you can't set it to the proper setting and get the results expected. I used your Clear Out product that suggests a setting of 3 1/2 With an acre of land to cover I should have used the whole bag, but I ended with half of a 15 k bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mark 29745 from Did not work well with Weed and Feed With the weed and feed, you are supposed to spread it with the grass damp so it will stick to the leaves. But it also sticks all over the spreader and then accumulates on the wheels and puts down too much product at the wheels. I have several places where the grass was killed due to an over dose where the wheels are.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BenVA from Bolts falling out on first use. Bolts loosened and were falling out during the first use. The lack of settings information for non-Scott’s products is also disappointing. It would be helpful to get a general idea of which setting for lime for example
