Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Spreader I previous had an AccuGreen 2000 and it was great. First time using this, the right wheel wouldn't turn and the spreader holes clogged. I only made it through 1000 sq ft. This is going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for years We bought our drop spreader over 30 years ago, it's just starting to act up a little so we are looking to buy a new one. If you want something to last... buy Scotts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drop spreade Folds down handle and leg for easy storage. Big wheels make easy work of tall grass

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor overall quality. I bought the Scott’s Classic Drop Spreader to spread Scott’s Turf Builder on my home lawn. Setting up the handle was easy, and I set the gauge. I put less than half of a bag in, and quickly discovered that the right wheel would NOT turn. I then emptied the herbicide out, and the unit then rolled easily. I then put the herbicide back in and I had the same problem...the right wheel would not turn. I took the unit back to the store for a refund. I think Scott’s makes good herbicides, but Scott’s drop spreader is a piece of JUNK! I am now going to find a Lesco spreader, that my landscaper told me about. I hate buying cheaply made items. I hope Scott’s looks into this lack of quality in their tools.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unfortunately, Disappointed Gave my old Scott's Classic drop spreader to my son and purchased a new one for myself. The spreader was fine with fertilizer and lime but locked up trying to drop seed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not last I owned one of these but on a 7500 st ft lot the wheels came off I junked it.. I bought a scotts. Rotary it's holding up. I would like to have a drop but it plugs up also the one I had. I think the hopper needs to be higher or wheels bigger. Don't know why it plugs

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed We bought this drop spreader a week ago specifically to use to drop tall fescue seed. I have previously owned and used a spreader just like this one for this very purpose, but my last one was stolen! The wheel on this new spreader will not turn and the grass seed clogs the opening. Because I knew the product and never imagined I would need to return it, I did not keep the receipt .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT FOR SPREADING GRASS SEED! Don't buy this like I did expecting it to properly dispense grass seed, because it won't. The instructions label is somewhat misleading, as it states "fill hopper with Scotts Turf Builder product". This really means fertilizer products only, not grass seed, which just gets ground up and destroyed by the hopper agitator. There should be a statement on the labeling, warning against its use for spread seed!
