Nice Fan but Smart Features Do NOT work
Bought this fan to replace an old fan in my master bedroom. The fan itself runs wonderfully. It's silent, no wobble, and the included remote works well. However, I bought this fan for its smart home features. Which are terrible and do not work. I paired this fan using HomeKit. The app works fine for a day then none of the controls work. They don't work in HomeKit or in Hunter's App. I have removed the fan from HomeKit and did the setup process again, same issues persist. Have owned this fan for almost a year and have not once gotten a firmware update. My guess is development on this fan is no longer supported. Never could get Alexa to work with it either. If you want a traditional fan, it's a great fan. If you are looking for a Smart fan, it's horrible and should be avoided. Hopefully they will support Matter, though based on the lack of support thus far I am not holding my breathe.

Don't Buy this "Smart" Fan
I bought 4 of these fans because of the wifi and smart home integrations, but after a couple of months using them, they've been nothing but a headache.
Independent switches for the fan and light will not work with this model. If one switch is turned off then the fan loses all functionality. Both switches need to be turned on in order for the fan to work using only the included remote or the app.
Additionally I purchased the in wall control unit to use as an alternative to the remote, but that has been a nightmare as well. Firstly, why would the wall control need batteries that need to be replaced when it is hard wired into the switch box? Secondly, seeing as how the wall controller only occupies one switch, if the other switch is turned off then the wall controller is useless. Lastly, I've had issues with 2 wall control units where the light button only works when the fan is operating at max speed. Once the fan speed is lowered any level, the light control no longer works.
This fan is also not compatible with any external smart switches. I understand this is a smart fan, but there should still ben an option wire it like a normal fan and control it using third party smart dimmers and switches.
If this fan had the ability to be controlled from other outside switches and not just the remote or app, then that would be ideal, but unfortunately that is not the case.

Made a mistake, my fault from
Can't use
I can't use the fan. A prior purchase of a replacement light globe was installed by an electrician that knew what he was doing. prior electrician was not knowledgeable.

Glad we changed to a Hunter
Great fan! Beautiful, quiet, and easy to install. Moves so much more air than our previous fan.

Beautifully made, packaged and value
Very pleased.
I did need some assistance from support to set up my android phone with the app so both the remote and phone would work.
They responded in an hour to my email
Excellent support!

Doesn’t work well with Alexa
Fan is nice, but having a lot of trouble with the SIMPLEconnect. Rarely works as it should with Alexa, witch is why we bought this model

Great!
Really like this new fan. Bot it to replace a previous Hunter fan that stopped working, after several years. I trust Hunter Fans! It is modern looking and whisper quiet. I especially like the built-in-remote-receiver (that is not an add-on). Also like the dimming feature for the light. Very happy with it, Note: This is a two-person installation.

Terrible decisions & lost potential
I bought this fan because it has an amazing aesthetic design. Installation however was a nightmare.
I came to learn that, despite there being dual switch instructions in the install guide, this fan cannot function with independent switches to control the fan and light. One switch functions as a “breaker” for the entire fan. If that is not on, then nothing will work. The second switch then only controls the light (which doesn’t work if the first switch is off). This leaves the only way to control it (if you want smart functionality available all the time) to leave the switches on all the time and use either the remote, mobile app, or voice control 100% of the time. (Much less preferable when you’re just walking out of a room and have to pass the switches anyway.)
The fan will not work with smart switches. I was aware that this was a smart fan, but I had hoped I could choose to wire it like a normal fan and control it via other means and not configure the fans onboard smart functions. That is not the case.
I will say, while working with Hunter to figure this out, I left the fan wired and used it at night to keep our bedroom cool. While the fan was running at 100%, it was like a small tornado - which is great.
If I could have installed this exact fan without its smart functions, and used other smart switches in a normal dual switch configuration, it would have been perfect in every way. Unfortunately that’s not the reality.
