Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Used it 4 times in the last 6 weeks. 20-30 minutes each time. Starts easy. Pump bulb 10 times, Full choke 1 pull, 1/2 choke 1 pull, starts running. Run about 15 seconds on 1/2 choke, turn choke off and start using it. Works fast and strong on thick grass and weeds 3-4" tall. Some weeds 12" tall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from its a beast I have some property with some very thick underbrush. This trimmer with the Husqvarna .105 string makes quick work getting rid of the underbrush. I have the brush cutter attachment (another brand) and the .105 string rips through the brush just as easy as the brush cutter. Compared to my older weed eater this thing is a beast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to start and use; more than enough power I bought this about a month ago to replace a Troy-Bilt trimmer. The 128LD from Husqvarna is like night and day. So easy to start and it never stalls out or overheats like the Troy-Bilt did. Edging my 1/2 acre property used to take close to an hour due to unreliability with the Troy-Bilt. Now it takes about 15 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to start, easy to operate I have now used my new 128LD about a dozen times, mostly as a string trimmer. It also easily attached to my Ryobi tiller and my Black and Decker hedge trimmer (Note: I was in a store with a Stihl version in my hands but then realized the attachement incompatibiltiy). The tiller is by far the most monumental test of power and the 128LD performed about as good as I could possibly hope. I use this tiller in tight spaces in flower gardens where a larger machine just won't fit and it certainly did what I needed. It started with ease each time I needed it, and it performed well. Even my 15 year old son was able to operated it. The true test of course will be how well it stands up to time. This was the first time I ever purchased the premixed gas which I only did because of the offer to double the factory warranty. I have to say it seems to work much better than anything I mix in that it does not smoke as bad, and it accellerates faster without a lag. The only negative that I have found is that the premixed gas is quite expensive in my humble opinion. Also, the string trimmer came with only about a foot of line. I fully expected it would be ready to go out of the box but had to stop within the first few minutes to load string. That said, it is one of the easiest to reload that I have ever owned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adequate I purchased this model in 2013 and use it to trim a large urban/city lot. It has adequate power to trim, but heavy brush will overwhelm it. The self feeding line works okay, can be a bit difficult to reline. I would not recommend after market spools. The two I experimented with performed poorly and bogged down the engine. This 2 cycle engine needs two things: perfectly mixed fuel and ethanol free gasoline. Ethanol has messed mine up every single time I have used anything but ethanol free. I cleaned the carburetor this year, but been mostly hands off maintenance. Would give 5 stars, but the sensitivity to fuel quality is a solid demerit.
