Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite EDC I had been looking at the rosewood model for months when I found this version at a gun show for $35 but it's easily worth hundreds. The blade snaps open faster than my switchblades and out of the box the blade was sharp enough to shave with. I carry it almost everyday now and have never regretted buying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Pockets I have had the Twitch II for years and it's awesome for pocket carry. I have even forgotten that it's there from time to time. The one-handed opening is the feature what keeps it in my pocket. It's just so easy to use. For edge retention, I'll give it a 8/10. I do have knives that hold up better under heavy use, but for what it is, the Twitch II makes the grade and then some.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great knife, once it is opened I've had my twitch 2 for about 2 months now, and it is an excellent cutring tool. It came sharp and has held its edge well with minimal edge maintenance. The design is nice and slim. The blade shape and size are great for lots of different tasks. My biggest problem with knife is getting it open. When I first got the knife, I pulled it out of the box and tried to deploy it, but even with the spring assist it only came open halfway. I thought that the pivot was too tight, so I adjusted it. That was not the problem and the knife still only opened halfway. I fiddled around with the pivot some moreason and tried adding oil, but nothing I did helped the action. So now I have just removed the spring, and carry it as a manual knife that is just a little hard to open since there are no washers/bearings to reduce friction. Also, there is some vertical blade that has been present since day 1. I love lockbacks and I was really excited to get an assisted flipper lockback, but I was let down a little by this knife. It is still a great cutting tool so I still like it, but this was definitely a missed opportunity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impressive piece This was on clearance at the local big-box chain store and I wasn't expecting it to punch so far above it's weight class. For 1/3 of MSRP, this thing is a true bargain. Not sure if I would pay MSRP for it, though. This thing is insanely sharp out of the package, can cut paper with just pressure, no slicing. Out of the package, the pivot was a bit sticky, as was the action for the safety slider, but with some light oil and working them, they seem to be loosening up and getting smoother. I like the heft of the knife and the tightness of the clip. Only changes I would suggest are to be able to change the position of the clip, ditch the thumb studs since this is assisted open with a pretty pronounced flipper and to smooth the pivots to keep it as slim as possible. Overall, nice, sharp, classy looking and going to be a regular part of my EDC rotation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my top 3 Folders Was in Walmart looking for a cheap random lockback to throw in my pocket at work. I was delighted to see Twitch II has a pocket clip, and was so impressed with it's unique design and quality, I forked over the price on a momentary up-sold buying decision. This tiny beast locks up solidly, holds a great (and tough) edge, and grips pockets tenaciously. I get an (experienced) impression the steel is slightly soft but very tough. My only (very minor) complaints are that spring assist is almost uselessly weak, and a deeper pocket clip would make this thing OMG amazing. However, It's a lockback, I didn't buy it for spring assist, I bought the thicker spine for carving support, and the solid lock. This pocket knife is dense (heavy for size) that's a design feature and NOT a drawback. If you like featherweight knives, don't buy a spring assisted, safety locking lockback with metal handles and steel sandwiched double thickness locking mechanism. Personally, I Love it! Twitch II put SOG knives on my radar. Overall assessment. POSITIVES Design is incredible, build quality is good, The device is SOLID<<< heat treat is excellent for the purpose, ergonomics are great. NEGATIVES. Spring assist is poor, but helpful, Tolerances are slightly on the low side for blade alignment when OPEN (viewed point away, it's ever so Sliiightly warped). This has not affected cutting, and the pocket clip should sit deeper if possible. Personally rate at 4 and one half stars out of five compared to any pocket knife, and 6 out of 5 for price/value combination. Reviews like this are what happens when a writer/knife nut /should've been an engineer buys a pocket knife and really likes it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love mine I've carried pocket knives for years. Prefer them on the smaller side and with the pocket clips because I EDC. Most have fallen apart on me after a year or two. Read some good reviews on the Twitch and the Twitch II. Came across a display of them in a big box store so thought I'd give one a try. That was approximately a year ago. I love this knife. The edge is still great. I haven't had one issue. Still works as great as the day I bought it. If anything happens to this one, like I were lose it say, I would immediately buy another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy to open I have arthritis in my thumbs and have trouble opening most knifes that have a thumb hole or stud on the blade. I can open this with a flick of my finger.
