Directions on bag and product details on web do no
How is it that in the text description for using a spreader it says to use setting 6 but on the picture of the bag's actual direction it says to use a setting of 7 1/4. So which is it? Does anyone proof read your publications? Not good. Show me where I am mistaken and I will retract. The option to add photos at the bottom of this page is not working.

Sucks
I will never use this product again. I started in the spring and ended on the fall, did not kill one weed that it advertised. It use to be great… used it for years. Don’t know what they did to it? In my options it just a lot of fillers.

burned my grass
I purchased several bags of this product and followed the instructions and applied it to both my front and back yards with a scotts spreader and there were burn spots everywhere and some of the grass died. I had used this product last year and it did not burn my grass but this year it burned a huge portion of my lawns

Price is robbery!!!
The price of Scott’s products is out of control! This industry needs to be regulated. Scott’s accounts and leadership is laughing all the way to the bank while homeowners budgets are suffering.

Violets are still blue
The grass fertilizer great; growing nice and thick. The wild violets are also growing; they are not shriveling at all.

SHRINKFLATION
So, 12,000 square feet is the new 15,000. Sneaky move. No way this was based on "customer feedback" as no right thinking customer would want this. The product remains good (I've used it for many years) but thinly camouflaged price hikes are unwelcome. Would have been a 5 star review based on product alone, but two demerits for marketing arrogance and customer aggravation. I hope you're listening as I see from other reviews that I'm not alone.

Disappointed!
I'm disappointed in the smaller bag sizes. I used to buy one 15,000 sq. ft. bag for my lawn. The new size is 12,000 sq. ft. for more money. I'm now looking at alternative products to take care of my lawn.

Only greened my lawn up but killed no weeds
I purchased 3 large bags of the Scotts Triple Action in the spring and applied it exactly per the instructions and still have as many weeds as I had when I applied it.

If you got the cash.
The product is great but unless you get a deal it is 50% overpriced to the raw ingredients. SHRINKFLATION. The bags are getting smaller. Big yard? Consider getting 50lb ammonia sulfate at a farm store and spraying some 2-4d. My 0.2 cents.

Didn't do what it claimed
I applied this 10 day ago. Did it in the morning so the dew helped the powder stick. The fertilizer obviously works. Both grass and weeds are going strong. No impact on clover, violets, creeping charlie, or any of the other weeds. If I'd wanted just fertilizer I'd have bought pure TurfBuilder, as we've had great success with Stotts products for years, but this is the first time using Winterguard, and it's an epic fail. 3 acres,

Satisfied but clumpy
I have been using Scott’s products for 20 years and always have pretty good luck. Something seems to have changed however as I get far more clumping in the bags. I just got done fertilizing a very large lawn and used 3 bags, two of them had significant clumping which I had to break-up with a hand trowel. A little inconvenient and definitely a quality issue. I also have a suggestion. With the weed and feed products, I wish the Scott’s spreaders had solid wheels that don’t have openings on the interior of the spreader. When applying on a damp lawn, they product gathers and clumps in the wheels then falls into the lawn in clumps creating burned areas. While small, it is frustrating and would be solved with a solid wheel.

The product is good but the price is OUTRAGEOUS
I share Dr. Stone's concerns about getting less fertilizer for more money. I have been using Scott's annual fertilizer "recipe" for the past 30+ years and I have been getting outstanding results. My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. But the price for the fertilizer(s) has become outrageous and I am starting to reconsider using other brands. When will the greed stop?

Product clogs scotts drop spreader on wet lawn
Directions recommend applying to a wet lawn. After a few passes with my scotts drop spreader, it clogged and it’s hard to accurately tell the amount of product that actually made it to the lawn. I will try again in about a month on a dry lawn.

Bonuses not working for me
I'm not very happy with the bonus s. I used it once on my lawn and I still had the weed to clover and rag weeds and that kind of stuff. It never killed it now I read and it said to use it again in a couple of months which I did and with no success. Still have the weeds. They're not dying. I bought another bag then I'm going to use this winter. Am I doing something wrong? I'm putting it down the way the bag says. I live in Southern South Carolina and I'm not sure. I'm making sure I'm not using it when it's over 90° and the '80s I use it. Please help

I’m very happy with Scott’s products. But the price is too high. I use two 15000 SqFeet bags. Now they come in 12000 sq feet bags. Why?

Don’t like Scott’s Weed & Feed
I have been used Scott’s products exclusively when I can. We moved to a new home and had extensive work done on the backyard. Sod was installed. It looked great. After using Scott’s new lawn fertilizer for first two application, I decided to use weed and feed. It doesn’t work well with Scott’s rotary spreader. If you stop or turn without closing the Shute before stopping forward motion the material dumps on to to the lawn. End results it kills the lawn in spots. The product is not heaven or dense enough.
I will be switching back to Scotts step 4 product now that the lawn is established. Had great success with it in the past.
I did use Scott’s grass seed for repair. It worked great.

This stuff sucks
I bought a bag of Scotts Weed and Feed today and opened it and was just a big wet gob of mush. It won't spread out of my spreader even on the highest setting. Not to mention, stuff leaked out of the bag all over the upholstery in my car and all over my clothes. Sure hope it comes out. I will never buy Scotts again.

My Formerly Beautiful Lawn Looks Terrible
I've been using Scotts products for years with great success.
I used Winterguard for the first time last fall. I followed the application directions to the letter.
Now it's spring and my lawn looks terrible. Dead patches and thin, sickly grass.
I'll continue to use other Scotts products but never Winterguard. I'll throw the unused portion in the trash.

Weve used this product for many years. But now will have to pass because the prices have gotten so high when we need 3 15000 square foot bags.

Exercise caution using Fall & Winter Turf
Living in SE Texas, St Augustine grass that is 5 yr old. Used Turf Builder since we had house and yard. Used the Fall & Winter Turf Builder to completely mess up and wreck our lawn. Not sure why it happened. But I know it wont happen again. Stick with the standard Turf Builder. Our weather(warmer than norm), may have been a factor

Distributes well. Soaked into the ground quickly.
I used the Scott's spreader and this fertilizer was better thean some othjers in that is flowed well improving the odds ofd a more even distribution. I liked that. I gave it a 4 star as I can't tell during this tiem of the year if it made any difference yet.

I notice this does work.
It does work. I always have some left over. I hope this will help it go green in the spring. instead of last years late yellow. then fade to green. Got to keep up with the neighbors.
