Description
Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It protects threads from rust and corrosion and prevents loosening from shock and vibration. Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242 is particularly suited for applications on less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, where disassembly is required for servicing.
- Medium strength - Can be removed with hand tools
- Protects threads - Prevents rusting of threads
- Locks threads - Prevents loosening of metal fasteners caused by vibrations
- Use on metal fasteners 1/4' (6 mm) to 3/4' (19 mm) in diameter such as bolts on small engines, swing sets and furniture

Awesome Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for some rattling bolts on my 4x4 vehicle and it worked like a charm! No more rattles! It was not messy at all and was easy to use!

Good glue
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works very well. It has not gummed up on the tip like some do. It has held up well on the things I have used it on. I look forward to many more uses for it

Ok but not great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stuff comes out OK and is simple to use but it's just not viscous enough for our application purposes. I would prefer to buy regular original loctite.

Game changer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this loctite threadlocker! I use it on all my builds and projects. This is my go to and keeps things snug and right where I want them. Only time I don't use it is high heat situations. I really like it because it holds well but you can still break it with enough juice if you need to.

Tested time and time again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been been using Loctite for many years for various things. The Threadlocker Blue 242 did not disappoint. I like that the tube itself is small enough to handle for small projects like this. I also like that it's blue and super easy to see when applying to the screw. My best advice is to make sure to leave it to "cure" for a day or so. I really think that has been the best trick.

blue loctite
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using blue threadlock for years. I collect pocketknives and take them apart to clean. Putting them back together you can count on the screws backing out of the pocketclip. A failed pocketclip is a lost knife. This stuff helps secure the screws when I reassemble so I no longer lose knives.
