Poor substitute for the original
For the last ten years I've used Super 77 with 220 sq ft coverage which has excellent tact time & bond.
This new formula is lacking in every way. No tact no hold.
I need to rethink my assembly with an adhesive that works.

Has tack but no substance
It's only strong enough if you spray both side and concentrated. But doing so creates bubble and bleed through. only good for low end general purpose usage temporarily. I rather recommend using other brands out there which are better. SprayEasy, TensorGrip, China brands. Cheaper too

I tested this on foam more than once I didn't notice it melting like most of the rest.I am redoing the ceiling of a rv I have many hours on it and now I find the glue does melt the foam. I have a real mess Why not tell the public it does not work on foam. I have used about 10 cans . It looks like it works until you pull it apart. the foam is melted

Absolutely Reliable Must-Have product
Ive been using 3M Super77 for 20+ years, never even once had an issue.
Used to permanently bond hundreds of different materials-and
when i say permanently, i bloody mean it! Its is like contact adhesive
and its never dissolved ANY foams for me.
NOTE- for best results use common sense and good practice, and read the entire label, but in addition, remember the 7 P's: Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents a P*ss-Poor Performance!
In a well ventilated area, prepare a temporary "spray zone", covered by taped-down card or paper, around the items you expect to bond-this zone will catch any overspray, which is a hard to remove, and attracts dust over time, giving you a carpet-like area of black crud. (acetone will get rid of this, but why waste time with cleanup, when a few moments of forethought will obviate this step)
Shake well, yes shake it good! Check visually that the spray button orifice isnt obstructed by previously dried adhesive. Dont be lazy, a blocked nozzle WILL spatter the spray pattern.
If it needs cleaning, pop it into a cup of turps or other thinner and agitate or leave for a few minutes until the dried glue is loose enough to remove.
Make sure spray button is replaced in the can aligned with the dot on the upper rim. This ensures the aerosol inner tube is well within the cans inner contents, even when near empty, also preventing intermittent spray delivery (spattered uneven glue blobs).
Correct distance to ensure even coat, 8-10 inches. The emerging flat fan spray pattern can be rotated 90 degrees, it is not a conical spray shape as car paint cans are, but can be adjusted to match your spraying direction (are you spraying from left to right, or up to down).
Test your material on a scrap before applying glue to parts, to ascertain whether what your'e sticking requires one or both of the parts to be sprayed, and whether a double coat is required on each side (obviously waiting 3-5 mins between coats), some absorbent surfaces like leather need 2 thin coats on each mating face, and allowed to dry to touch before bringing them together.
Bear in mind that because Super77 is freaking strong, its always better to put slightly more than you think is required, as separating underglued items to add more glue is next to baeucoup difficile, once dried.

Do NOT use over photos!!!
I am so upset. I just spent a fortune on photos for a 3 year project. The can of super77 says “photo safe”. It is NOT! I had many brands of all purpose adhesive I could have chosen but went with Scotch because i thought i could trust it.
I did exactly what the instructions told me!
The whole project is now covered with tiny white dots of glue and some bigger splats where the can didn’t spray right.
I am so upset!

doesn't stick
I have been a fan and user of 3M products for the past 60 years.I have trusted their products until recently. I used one can of super 77 that I had in my shop and it worked and stuck all the foam squares to the ceiling of my VO studio The Batch number on the can was 7213CW/A12357/0138. When it ran out I bought another can. It's batch number is A93379329E/0343. Spraying the foam squares in the same manner I have had every one of the squares detach and fall. My faith in 3M products has dissolved because of this situation.

Didn’t work
Bought this spray to stick a decal onto a exhaust tip of a motorcycle. Sprayed both surfaces and then installed when it started to get tacky. It stuck at first but once the motorcycle started up and went for a drive the sticker started to immediately peel back off. Thought for sure this product would of worked. Unfortunately it was a waste of money for what I needed it for.

Bad for foam
I bought this to glue 'blue foam' insulation board together. Even though the can says it can be used on foam, don't use it! It will melt the foam.

Works Great!
Works like a charm...This product worked great to repair old wallpaper that had begun to lift at the seams and curl in places. I do have a question regarding the product... What can I use to remove the over spray?

Still sticky
I bought this product about 3 months ago. I was adding fabric to the bottom of antique drawers. I thought it would eventually dry, but it hasn’t, it’s still sticky. When will it ever dry?

A waste of time
I bought this to for the interior panels of an older car. It was to bond the vinyl-like cover to the fiberboard backing. It lives up to the claim of being fast-tacking, unfortunately it never goes on to form the bond. I believe I followed the directions step-by-step, but the tackiness never cures, it is still tacky after more than a month.

3m Super 77 Spray Non-Adhesive Spray.
I used this product to attach plastic posters to concrete walls. When I return to school they are all on the flour. This has happened repeatedly, it has been a waste of time and hard earned money.

Used to work great!
I use this product at my company to temporarily hold tooling together. For years this worked great but here in the last couple months I've noticed our tooling moving/shifting. Has anything at all in the formula changed?

Long time User
I have been using this product for years and love it i easily go through 8 to 10 cases in a year and I have recently noticed that it dries much quicker then it used to was there a change in the formula and if so is it possible to purchase the old formula it worked much better for what I needed.

Great stuff!
I first used this to apply fabric to a silverware drawer I made, easy to apply and dried quickly, that was a year ago. I used it again to spray some on my entry way bottom half of the door frame to stop my cat from scratching the wood...it worked cuz he hates sticky, that was 3 months ago. Today I used it to adhere two pieces of foam egg crates, it worked awesome! Each time I followed the instructions to a T, shake well and when done spraying I took the can outside and turned it upside down and sprayed until I got air only, then I stored the can in a cool place in an upright position. I'm writing this lengthy review to hopefully help others I read that had negative results. I too had a prior can sieze up...then I read the instructions but added the 'store in cool place upright'...I do believe that did the trick.

Too slow to dry, appears white on black surface
I am using Scotch Create Multi Purpose spray adhesive. My can looks different than one pictured but indicates Super 77. I am using it to spray black cardboard and sprinkle glitter on it. Glue appears white on black surface and still feels tacky after 80 minutes. So far, this adhesive spray is not working well for me. will look for another. I would not recommend for this type of project, it may work well for spraying the back of article and gluing that to something.

Sucks.
Ive used this glue for over 20 years daily. I feel the formula has changed and now SUCKS!!! Less Tacky and clogs up all the time. Go back to the old formula. This stuff is total junk! Quit cutting corners.

Does a fantastic job for me!
We have an application involving laminating multiple layers of high density, closed cell, cross linked foam. When used per the instructions (we tried lots of ways to cheat the tack time to speed up assembly), the bonds exceed the tear strength of the material. We started out with the spray cans, but have since purchased a 5 gallon can. The parts have a lot of irregular cut-outs, so we squirt in on with a "mustard type" bottle, and smooth it with a brush.

time will tell
used this on automotive headliner, the material is a little heavy with a little bit of stretch. (heavier than most headliner material.) it was fairly simple and worked very well on the plastic kick panels. The big question remains of how long will it last?. I was looking for a high temp adhesive but this is what was available. one can almost did the job on a large S.U.V. but I needed 2 cans.

Adhesive bond failed after a few days
I used this product to apply tolex covering to a wooden enclosure. I carefully followed all instructions, the wood was clean and free of any contamination. Temperature was optimal. Everything looked OK until a few days later when several of the seams started to lift and would not stay stuck down. This is the second time I have had problems with this product, guess I should have learned the first time. Now I am out the labor and materials for the tolex installation. Hopefully, IF I can get the sticky goo from the wood, I can try something else on the enclosure as I certainly do not want to start over from scratch. I have a lot of respect for 3M products, this is a big disappointment.

Something is different!
I had the same experience with foaming and clumping, but my main complaint is the new product graphics. The English instructions were unreadable due to misalignment of the font colors. Your website does not display these instructions. I don't need an MSDS, just a readable file containing the same information as the can

How do you unclog the spray mechanism?
I love the way this works but a learning process for certain. Had to learn to use latex gloves to keep it off my skin, read here somewhere that using a cardboard box as a work bay keeps the mist of spreading to unwanted areas etc. But I've only used about 1/3 of the can and now the mechanism is completely clogged and I was hoping someone could suggest a method of unclogging it. Appreciate any assistance. Thankyou.

New can is terrible
Not sure if it is because of the new can or maybe a new formula but I use super77 every day, it used to lay down a fine mist of glue but now it is really thick. Looks like the super90. Totally unusable if you need an even spray
