Rated 5 out of 5 by Scout's Mom from Good product I've been using Ziploc bags for many years. I don't understand some of the poor reviews. While I have noticed that sometimes the zipper is hard to open the first time, I use my thumbnail to get it started. After that, they open, seal and reopen just fine, and I haven't had any bags tear. For non-messy foods and non-food items, I have reused them without incident. I can turn a sealed bag containing liquid upside down without leakage, which is something I couldn't do with the "other" brand's bags.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KV from Horrible These bags are horrible. I have purchased ziploc bags for years and always thought they were the best. I had purchased bags over the holidays and they don't open You tug and pull and then the bag tears on the side or the strip comes off. This isn't just my opinion. Other people in my family have had the same problem and it's not just one bag in the box it's all of them. It is a great waste of money. I hope ziploc can fix this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Casa SF from These have become nearly impossible to open Ziploc, what's the deal? We've used these bags for years in our house and over the last year we've noticed they've become harder and harder to open. We are two strong-handed people who are on the verge of dumping your brand because you've done something to the bags that doesn't work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kyle from Splitting at the seam The latest boxes of ziploc's that I have purchased are splitting right at the seam where you lock it closed. It is unfortunate that they seem to be becoming less reliable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Josh from Tops rip too easily Can only open the bags once. Can't do it twice because, chances are, you've ripped the tops off leaving nothing to grab. Why are the bags so cheap now?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Campy from Not the same as they once were. Definitely not air tight. Food gets stall quicker. Not water tight like they once were. Can't use when camping to keep food dry in ice chest.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lou from No longer air-tight You advertise these bags to be air-tight but, sadly, they are not anymore. It appears to me that you have a quality control problem on at least the gallon Ziploc Freezer bags purchased during the past couple of months. I used to be able to use a paper straw to remove most of the air from a bag to help preserve the contents, and that vacuum would hold for days at a time, but no longer. Please fix the problem or amend your advertising as this product is no longer acceptable for my needs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Stitch from The old zip lock bags good, the new terrible I use the Gallon storage bags for snacks and incidentals all of the time, everyday. The new ones rip as soon as I try to open them up. I am not happy at all. I have been purchasing this product for many years and they just do not stand up anymore. What a let down. A family company.....not sure about that now.
