Bottom plate came off.
Have been trying for some time to file a claim on a defective mug. The bottom plate on the cup came off. I get no where with the web site on this problem. I had one before this that I had about 5 years before it finally gave out.

Great product
Didnt have to buy mine at first because my husband, who does construction , found a case of them in an abandoned apartment. Fell in love the 1st time I used it. I don't go anywhere without mine. Very sturdy, this coming from someone who drops everything. My only concern with this product is that dispute cleaning it as described the lid retains coffee gooooh. I didn't realize it was coffee residue until I closely inspected the lid. Mind you I would always release the stopper when I would put it in the dishwasher. After taking it apart I found slime and dried up old coffee stuff under and inside the rubber parts and even on the walls where the liquid exits . I would love a solution for this because I can't live without my mug. I)lm after I finish this review I and going to email customer service

Best mug I ever had!
Love my mug, got it as a Christmas gift seven years ago. Easy to clean, kept things cold or hot. So why am I buying a new one?, I lost mine, I am heart broken.

travel mug is great but lid needs better
the travel mugs are great but the rubber seals in the lid wear too quickly. You should make the seals available for replacements. I have 6 of these cups and only one lid stays sealed anymore at the mouth opening because of seal disintegration. It would be easy to have replacements for these rubber seals.

Best coffee mug yet
Keeps drinks warm and in the cup. No drops, drips, or drizzle. They last forever and are dw safe. Fill it, throw it in your bag, and off you go. I’ve had some for 6+ years, probably longer. Love love love.

Cleaning the lid and the exterior coming off
i had this mug for a long time. When i clean the lid it always hard to get into those tight spaces in the lid. I just wish they can make lid easier to clean. Contigo make your lids easier to clean and the exterior is coming off.

Love, but can no longer buy replacement lids.
We've used our mugs for years and years, for ourselves and staff. And, to keep the lids clean and sanitized, we do run to them through a dishwasher. This eventually erodes the exterior grip. We'd buy replacement lids since the SS bodies were pristine. Now those lids seem no longer available. Why?

Contigo Autoseal West Loop Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug is one of the best... but when the lid gets kind of dirty with fungus or something has to go to trashcan and it's being impossible to get a lid replacement....

There is no better mug!
I have tried all the others - they leaked, they didn't keep things cold or warm, they were uncomfortable in my hand or didn't fit in my cup holders. Contigos are SO different! I ride horses on the trails in the hot summer and when I come back to my hot truck my drink still has ice in it! It never leaks, regardless if I drop it on the floor and it rolls around while I drive. My Contigo cup, always beside me, reminds me to keep hydrated. I LOVE my Contigos! There is no other cup like it.

Problem with lid mechanism
A great mug for the short run; but over time the push rod that opens the drinking hole wears out or for some other reason ceases to open the hole. Love the mug; but I have three of them I have to remove the lid to drink from. If I could buy replacement lids for a reasonable price, I would.

Doesn't get clean
Sorry, but not everybody has an automatic dishwasher. I cannot get the inside of the lid clean enough so that mold doesn't grow.

Horrible lid design
You shouldn’t even be able to sell a product like this. The way the lid is designed, it is a haven for germs and crud. Even putting it in the dishwasher, I doubt that it really gets clean. My Husband bought it for himself and I hope he doesn’t get some kind of disease from it. Not a happy Wife, no happy life here from his purchase.

I did buy this coffee mug ( West Loop 2.0 Stainless Steel Travel Mug with AUTOSEAL® Lid, 20 oz ) at the beginning was very excellent mug but now when I locked it and I tilting the mug the coffee comes out just like is not locked and the coffee won’t stay hot I need help what to do I love my mug

Newer Models are not as good as the old ones
I have been using my Contigo west loop mugs since 2010 on a daily basis and have always come back after trying other trendy brands. I have gone through at least 3 mugs over the years and only replace them for cosmetic reasons. This most recent mug was received for fathers day and for the first time in many years I am disappointed. I immediately noted the insulation did not work as well as the mug was warm to the touch and within a couple hours my drink is lukewarm at best. I tested this directly against my old mug which far out performs the new one. Not sure what has changed with the design or manufacturing but I can no longer recommend the updated West Loop. For the first time in a decade I have to find a new mug.

Very comfortable to use and super tough!
Love my Contigo! My first interaction with a Contigo is finding one in the road that had fully survived a fall from a vehicle on the road leaving a nearby campsite (see picture). As soon as I picked it up and tried the comfortable spring-loaded valve setup that could be opened for dishwasher cleaning, I was sold! Bought my own shortly thereafter. 30 Oz. Unit is narrow enough to fit in my cars cup holder and keeps coffee warm for hours. Highly recommended!

Amazing...but it peels
I love these Contigo travel mugs. They do not seem to leak once they are locked (I have found they sometimes do but not often enough that it is a problem. They keep your drinks hot for several hours which I especially enjoy. My only issue with this is that despite me hand washing this and caring for it, the paint begins to peel off at the top (by where the lid goes on). I have bought 3 of these and find that no matter what, they begin peeling which then look cheap.

Honestly, works too well
My boyfriend loves to take his on long road trips. But he complains that his coffee is far too hot on his trip and by the time it cools off it’s too late in his day to enjoy a cup! Hopefully with age the amount of heat dissipates or he learns to deal with it!

A Faithful Companion
I have several West Loop 20 oz travel mugs. There are backups in my cars, an extra in the house, and one that travels with me 1.5 hours one way to and from work. Mine are now several years old and a few replacement tops later and still going strong. They keep my coffee hot for an extended period of time even in frosty weather. The tops are secure for tossing into a tote. The replacement tops actually will lock the mug so it can't leak and is easier to clean. Several friends and family members have received them as gifts over the years.

all of the contigo coffee mugs are garbage
all the mugs have black paint on the inside area. This is in direct contact with whatever you're drinking. The black paint flakes off after a month or two. Those black flakes of paint end up in your beverage. And, now you're drinking the paint. Horrible! This is toxic and may even be deadly. All of the coffee mugs have this problem. People are getting sick from ingesting toxic paint. Remove the substance from your products.

Something to check
I have used Contigos for years. My first ones didn't have pull lever inside the lid for cleaning and no seal lock. I loved the improvements that allowed better cleaning in the lid and the seal and lock. I could carry it in my purse and not worry about leaking and beverage stayed hotter or colder longer. But last summer I bought a new one to keep in our RV. I was so DISAPPOINTED with the lock. It was so hard to lock or unlock with one hand. So if you decide to buy a Contigo, check that it is easy to use the lock. So sorry a great product was redesigned.

Best leak-proof Coffee mug I have ever had!
I loved my stainless steel 20 ounce coffee cup! It kept my coffee or tea hot for hours on end! I sat it down on the ground to set our newest granddaughter's carseat in her parents vehicle & hugged her 1 year old sister and put her in her carseat , picked up my purse off the floor of their car. We got into our car and went on to our hotel to pack up the car for our 10 1/2 hour drive from Union City, NJ to Monroe, NC! I have sent pictures in the past, and was sent a newer autoseal lid and when the bottom of the outer base came off I was sent a new cup! I would love to have another 20 Oz stainless steel cup but I have only been able to find a 16oz stainless steel but it is not what I want! Is it possible for me to purchase one directly from you?
