Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent arbor! These are some of the best arbors. I use them daily. They are easy to swap and easy to remove the slug. I don't understand all the negative reviews. I don't believe they are using the arbor correctly. Lenox makes good quality products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot switch out the saw I bought this yesterday with two hole saws. I drilled a dozen smaller holes and then went to try to remove the arbor. No dice. it will not budge. I suppose that I could buy a second arbor for the other saw, but what the f???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work Well But Packaging Lacks Instructions These arbors work well and make changing hole saws easy. The problem I see as a non-professional DIY homeowner is that they're not intuitive to use and, inexplicably, there are no instructions for use in the packaging- NONE. This lack of instructions may be the root cause of the dissatisfaction expressed in some reviews. The review writers may not be using the tool as designed. So here's how to use them: Snap the silver collar back to extend the threaded part of the arbor. Screw the arbor into the threaded center hole on the back side of the hole saw until the pins on the silver collar bottom out. Then back off the threads slightly until the pins line up with the small holes adjacent to the center threaded hole and snap it in place. Done. To remove, snap the collar back to pull the pins out of the holes and unscrew.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on the Market. After reading the other reviews I had to speak up. I run a tool crib at a large plant. These snap back Lenox arbors and hole saws work well - but then, I have professional tradesmen using them. With no complaints.... and believe me if they weren't happy with them I'd hear about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great arbor Easy to use. I like Lenox products. There is some chatter but works good on the smaller sizes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from an alternate view Yes, the cutter does not tighten if one hopes to align the pins, but that is the idea. I had a regular arbor; cutter turned on to the top of the thread, but after my task, the cutter and the arbor are now inseparable. Really inseparable. I had other holes to drill with other sized cutters so purchased this snap back arbor. Great, the cutter does not get jammed onto the arbor, and all worked well. However, I assume that there was a spring and ball behind the set screw, and somehow, those were lost. Drilling down is not a problem, but drilling up means that the snap back won't stay engaged. Some masking tape solved that - not elegant. The ads promote it as a quick change device, and I suppose that it is. From my perspective, it simply prevents the arbor from being forever stuck in the cutter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for me. I have used all of these and not had issues except for wearing one out to where its detent wouldn't catch in the forward position. I'm an electrician by trade and own a contracting company that specializes in electrical and plumbing in principally commercial and industrial applications. In that we drill a lot of holes and between these and Milwaukee's Big Hawgs we can drill pretty much anything we need to. As a professional these hold up well. For what the rest say these can have some fitment issues and if they do return them and get another; I've only had to do that once as there was a bad batch. The retailer I use has never given me a problem in returning a non-working item. The biggest issue I have with these is when you're using a multi-mode drill with a hammer function and forget to turn the hammer function off these will quickly pop backwards causing the threads to tighten all the way. I do prefer Milwaukee's arbors as you can cut the Big Hawg bits even faster with the hammer mode on. These however cut a much cleaner hole. I almost exclusively use Lenox cutting tools and these are no different; I just though someone should say something nice considering the quality of these tools. I don't often write reviews but when so many were negative I though it was a duty to back up such a good product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't align I had the same problem as the others stated. The pins don't align with the holes when threaded on the hole saw. I ended up tightening the arbor to the hole saw and leaving the pins resting on the top, so the locking mechanism is useless.
