Rated 1 out of 5 by from want my money back I purchased about 3 weeks ago. Have used it 3 times and no smoke flavor in the meat using weber charcoal and hickory chunks. So much smoke coming out of the door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beats the electric and gas up. Had mine several years now. Not sure how they compare to the larger ones. This is the perfect size for 4 to 6 people. One tip I can pass on that makes getting up to temp easy. Fill the water bucket with hot water. The coal bin on this is just right. You need to fill with coal for all night smoke. Then if you like sauce or Apple juice, transfer to grill to finish up. And then clean it thoroughly or the grated will rush faster than you can Weber

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Much Fun! Smoking country ribs as I write this. Baby backs and chickens in the past. Also mac n cheese and beans. Great small smoker! Loads of fun to cook on and easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Kept Secret in the Weber Lineup!! This is one of my favorite smokers of all the grills/cookers I own, it's a lot of fun! It's my go-to smoker 90% of the time. One of Weber's best kept secrets, it holds way more food than it looks like it would, two pork butts, two smaller brisket flats, tons of chicken etc. It's small and light, breaks down easily to take with you to a friend's house or camping etc. Easy to use: With water in the pan as Weber recommends, this will hold steady 230 to 250 for hours once the vents are adjusted. I'd recommend getting a dual probe thermometer for accurately keeping track of your chamber temp and food internal temp, Weber provides a probe grommet on the side of the middle section just for this. As with most of them the thermo in the lid is purely decorative, up to 30 degree difference from dome temp to food-level temp. I also upgraded mine with an aftermarket stainless steel door and adjustable latch (Google search them, they're a very popular bbq accessory site). You obviously don't have to go with one of these, but it makes all the difference in the world by stopping up draft leaks from the factory door for better temp control via the dampers, plus they add a MAJOR upgrade to the looks of the cooker. Without it the temps are much harder to dial in steady since the cheap factory tin door leaks so much, truly the only downfall of the cooker. The cooker is basically a smaller version of the 18.5 that's been around since the early 1980's, tried-and-true. In case you're wondering the heat deflector pan is internal on the bottom of the bowl, not outside like the 18 and 22. Other than that the design is pretty much the same as its big brothers. I say if anything it's underrated, they don't market if very hard and you'll be hard-pressed to find it in stock locally anywhere (for whatever reason most dealers don't stock them, you'll probably have to pick one up online), but I wouldn't hesitate! Awesome cooker!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for beginner smokers To put it simple and short, this is great to learn on. It smokes small 5-6lb whole chicken and more. Pair it with a charcoal chimney and you have yourself a fun weekend. I trust weber with my grill so naturally I trusted them with this and I was not dissappointned at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for 2-3 people. The littlest Smokey Mountain may be the best, especially if you’re short on space or only feeding a few. Several years ago, my wife bought me a 22” WSM. It’s wonderful, but the size means that a good amount of fuel will be used, especially on long cooks. Not a problem if you’re cooking 8 pork butts or several racks of ribs, even a couple of full size packer briskets (all of which it can easily handle). It’s efficient at scale, but what if you’re cooking just 2 butts, a chicken, or a brisket point? That’s where this little guy shines. It can do those amounts of food efficiently, and it’s size means setup and cleanup are a breeze. It can hold the same low temps as the big guy, but if you’re wanting high heat it has more range. With the water pan removed and the bottom vents open it can get quite hot. I haven’t run mine past 350, but I think it could easily be done. This would be good for crisping the skin on chicken, for instance. In the larger cooker, you can’t get crisp skin on poultry very easily if at all. A word of caution here to the novice smoker user: don’t let the water on dry out in this little one or you could get higher temperatures than you’re looking for. That won’t happen as easily on the larger smokers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy Weber customer! Quality built as usual, smoker added to already owned grill and stand up fireplace. Looking forward to trying (and tasting) the smoking method this season!
