Highly recommend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After building our home and having the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors hardwired in, I highly recommend doing so. The battery backup is a wonderful feature for those just in case moments should the power go out. We have multiple detectors throughout our home and it's very convenient to change the batteries. Should you need assistance, First Alert is very helpful and kind. They have their customer's best interests in mind and that is very comforting. Nevertheless, I highly recommend First Alert hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. You won't regret it.

Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these by first alert awhile back to replace the old ones that where already here in the house when we moved in. I'm sooo happy that I went with these ones! They are extremely easy to install. I did it myself and it only took me a few mintues to do. They look way nicer then the old ones did, they have a battery backup and not only can it detect smoke they also detect carbon Monoxide too!

Only detector we trust in our home!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using First Alert hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in every room of our home for the past 6 years. These have a long battery life and are extremely trustworthy. When one of ours quit working a couple months ago, we immediately replaced it with this. It can be tricky when one starts chirping, to figure out which room and unit needs a battery change. However, this is the case for any brand and line of detector on the market. The may it very easy to look for the flashing red light which indicate it is the unit that needs a battery change or to be reset.

Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The First Alert smoke and carbon monoxide detector was relatively simple to install. It came with several of the most common standard alarm wiring harnesses which eased installation. It comes with a ten year battery back-up which adds a very nice, worry free feature to the alarm. The alarm itself is very loud and seems as though it would be more than effective in the event of a fire. The fact that it's hard wired to the rest of the detectors in the house is a definite plus. We have decided to switch out all of the smoke detectors with more of these.

Great home protection!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having my home protected is one of the most important things to me! We have a family of five in our home and with three kids we need to make sure that if there is an emergency we are alerted as soon as possible. This smoke and carbon monoxide detector is hardwired into the house so its always on and if the power is off the backup battery kicks in and keeps it on and working properly. The back up battery in a 10 year lithium battery meaning you should never have to buy or change the battery! We installed the smoke detector in less than five minutes and were immediately able to test it out. The sound is loud and can alert the whole house since it sits in the middle of our home. I feel confident that if an emergency should ever happen we will be prepared and ready to evacuate the home quickly. I highly recommend this smoke and carbon monoxide protector to keep you family and home safe at all times!

Great fire alarm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great fire alarm, it has the 2 alerts which I like. I install alot in our home and others so it was really easy to wire in for me, the backup battery is great for when the power go out as well. This is built tough and looks nice on the ceiling. I feel better knowing I have a device that has the 2 in one alert feature and the led light tells you which is going off. Definitely get you one of these for your home, this is the best brand out there to have and are amazing. Best quality out there!

Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My smoke detector from another company was 13 years old, so definitely time to replace. When I put the First Alert unit in, the included adapters made it easy to switch from another brand. Total installation time? 2 minutes. Terrific. It's also extremely loud when it tests - easy for everyone in the house to hear easily. The hardwire connectors come with a bare wire adapter, as well, so if this is your first installation of a hard wire smoke alarm, it will still be very easy to install and use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am truly impressed with the quality of this combination detector. I love that I finally only have to have one detector that works for both smoke and carbon monoxide. I truly feel safer in my home knowing I am protected with this detector. It was super easy to install since we previously had wired detectors throughout our home. It was literally a matter of a few wire connections and up it went. I love that it has a 10 year lithium battery in case of power outage and that it has a locked drawer to prevent tampering. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a new smoke and carbon monoxide detector as you will not be disappointed in this one.
