Excellent solution!
With the SmartKey system you change the key, not the lock! That being said, this kit is the easiest way to change a key and get four identical. Bonus, the two extra keys that are different and can be used in case you don't want to share the permanent key with someone (of course you need to re-program the lock for either the set of four or the set of two whenever you want to switch).

Time and money saver
This is the third time I have used the rekeying kit to change the locks on my home after temp residents moved out, each lockset takes about 20 seconds to rekey, peace of mind and security at its best!

10 seconds to rekey...just read the instructions
However, I read that re-keyed tumblers (the mechanism for keys to lock/unlock) are relatively easier to pick than traditional tumblers. Well, good for a short term solution until you buy a new lock set.

Great Idea
Our new house had 5 of these knobs and deadbolts and used this kit to rekey and its so fast and easy! I will recommend these to all my family and friends! This system even saves the environment! No more old knobs and deadbolts in the trash!!

Amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was amazingly easy to do! Daughter bought a house and wanted the locks/keys changed. We bought this and in five minutes the lock is re-keyed.
