Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sorry feature for a name brand product. Bought the saw to use on the job. Expected better quality but seems Bosch does not know not to use plastic on parts that are used a good bit. The handle on the blade raising/lowering mechanism should be made out of metal. Already on my 2nd replacement and have used the saw less than 6 months. My saw gets a lot of raising and lowering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second to None [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tool in order to make Adirondike chairs with my very young grandson. He was unfamiliar with power tools so I wanted something safe to use. I also needed something simple to use as well as accurate in order to make the chairs high quality. This saw did it all. The safety features allowed me to let him actually do a lot of the cutting. The accuracy made it so the chairs fit together correctly. and the quality well, he made the good enough that he sold a couple of them. Another great feature of this saw is it's mobility. My grandson lives about 90 miles from me and he recently wanted to put shiplap on a wall in his bedroom. It was extremely easy for me to load the saw into the back of my pickup truck and haul it to his house. That made the job go smoothly and quickly. By being able to take the saw with me it allowed me to let him do all of the cutting. The job was completed without making any "correction cuts" and the pieces fit better than expected. I looked at several different saws before I bought this one and I'm certain I made the correct choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4100 table saw motor housing wears out where it slides on the 2 steel rods it binds up so blade wont go up and down after lots of use . other than that its a great saw but changing the motor housing is lots of time just buy another saw

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SHOULD BE FINE FOR HOME PROJECTS To be honest, I haven't yet used the saw. I may change my review after I've used it for a while; I have projects in mind once spring has taken hold. I've used tables saws in the past, however this is the first I've purchased for my own use; the features with this unit are certainly advanced compared to my experience. I've noticed comments citing assembly instructions aren't clear. With minor exceptions, careful adherence to the manual allowed me to easily assemble the folding base and safety features of the saw. There were comments about the elevator failure over time for the saw blade--stuck in the upmost position--the manual addresses this issue; cleaning and lubricating should minimize problems. The machine is certainly not industrial-grade, and anyone earning a living with construction likely wouldn't be using this machine. However, a DIYer as I am should anticipate years of practical use from any home project that comes along. Stay tuned.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I had the original 4000 series saw for over 10 years. Decided it was getting tired and was time to upgrade. Bought this saw after being very happy with the other only to get get let down. Saw itself is not built nearly as robust as the 4000 series, and the stand being smaller diameter tube is insanely wobbly and unstable, very disappointing seeing as my old saw was rock solid. Will likely use it as a beater saw for rough sawn and buy something better for the shop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The worst instructions I’m trying to assemble my 4100xc table saw and simply can’t. There are pieces that have no instructions, and other pieces the instructions don’t work for. I’m about to trade this in for a Dewalt.
