Rated 4 out of 5 by Janet R from Disc and belt sander Have only used it for a couple of small projects, but so far it seems to be a good product. Easy to use and very portable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ironmanbob87 from Great Quality and Value. Just added this to my collection of Skil tools. Only thing I changed was the sanding grit to 120. It comes with 80 grit and it was a little aggressive for me, even on hardwoods. This little sander gets the job done and once again Skil delivers a great product at a reasonable price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Notneeded from Poorly made Purchased this model today instead of a Porter model that was $40 more. This was a big mistake. Right out of the box the plastic knob that holds the disc table in position disintegrated while I was tightening up the table. Installed the self adhesive disc pad onto the disc ans had it slightly off center. The paper backer stalled out the motor! This unit has virtually no power. I used a knife to trim the paper back approx. 0.040" and the motor was then able to turn the disc & belt. This is an over priced Hobby tool not for daiily use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by soltc from Small, but with a lot of features I'd been looking at bench-top sanders for several months. I decided on the Skil when I saw the introductory price. The sander was easy to assemble and mount to an existing tool stand. This is a sturdy, well-designed tool which I expect to last a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MarkH from Does What It Should Assembly was easy, and belt alignment was dead on. I did have to change to less abrasive disc/belt. For my use the original disc/belt took too much material. Other than that, it's great.
