Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disapointed Let me start by saying I LOVE Milwaukee M18 tools, I own many. My father died a year ago and I inherited his brand new Reciprocating saw. Used it to cut some branches up(no chainsaw). Used it for about 30 minutes and it shut off. Smelled like the motor cooked. I wish I knew when he bought it. Sad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Left side gear case broke Used this sawzall occasionally for about a year and then noticed a piece of aluminum was sticking out where the blade release lever is located. I removed the rubber cover from the unit and noticed the the half round end piece broke off the casing. This piece covers the release spring. Extremely disappointed. The sawzall worked fine up to that point. I had a corded sawzall 6521-21 that I used for years without issues but unfortunately I sold it last this year. Obviously it was made stronger than this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blade Retention clip We have 19 of these out on the job everyday. We have had so many issues with the blade getting stuck in the machine. The blade retention clip keeps breaking and we are unable to change blades. I do love that we can send them in to get fixed for free usually but that takes it away from our plumber for 7-9 days. Wished we would have went with the 2720 or 2722. They have a different blade retention.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good saw I use this fairly often and it is a good saw. It has good power and is perfect for many applications. The only down side is that it is pretty heavy and it gets tiring trying to use it for long periods of time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Onw tough tool Great saw, versatile and can be used almost anywhere rough work is needed. Only drawback is that it only oscillates in an orbit making it hard to start cuts at times, especially in metal, without a bit of bouncing off the mark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Milwaukee Tool I use my Sawzall on my farm to cut wild grape vine and huckleberry. This saw cuts in wet, dirty, nasty situations and never quits (x/when one of my 5.0 batteries runs out of juice). It is used on the roughest of situations and has not yet failed (after 4 years)!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poweful but poor build quality I work construction professionally and my sawzall sees everything from wood to gas piping. Power wise you can't beat this cordless sawzall but build quality seems very poor. I use my tools and they get worked but I do not abuse them. Within the first month I found that the New catch/release for the blades (a design I like very much) wasn't locking every time. I found myself being very vigilant with cleaning as to prevent crud build up and it seems to help but the issue still occurs more often then I'd prefer. The rubber began to slip almost instantly but this is not a major issue for me at all.
