Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat Little Radio I recieved this as a gift four years ago and overall I am satisified with its performance. Its rigid construction and outer "cage" allow for it to be placed anywhere you go. The radio does allow for numerous battery types to be accepted so that it can be powered either via its own power cord or battery power, adding to its versatility (NOTE: Batteries cannot be charged using this radio, but given its size and other features it doesn't detract from my rating). The door on the side hides an auxillary audio input jack and USB port, and the cavity is large enough to house a small music playing device such as a cellphone or iPod. However, since the radio is not Bluetooth enabled, you will have to purchase a Bluetooth reciever; but it can be stored and charged within the secret compartment on the side. The quality of the speaker on this radio is decent cosidering the pricepoint, though it would be nice to adjust the quality of the reception or playback settings for the speaker. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed This is nothing but a high priced radio with so, so sound. This item has no outlets / extensions and notes that a charger is sold separately. Per their live chat (since they do not call you back and their email was not working) the 'charger' can not be attached to the radio. This appeared to be a smaller version of their DCR025 but is not even close to it. I will be returning it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent radio, not great Decent battery life while using, and decent amount of volume. Not much beyond that. No Bluetooth capability, even if you add a Bluetooth receiver the radio will need to be powered with 120v to use the usb on the side of the radio. The radio will not power this port on battery power. There have also been weird feedback sounds or frequency distortion that comes through the speakers depending on what you have plugged into the auxiliary or what your power source is(very annoying). It is pretty darn rugged but it could be louder for its size(especially with a bettery on the back. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
